Second Term/ Age 22: Promoted to Rank 1 Scout and spent four years on exploration missions, while serving as a courier for the Imperium. Most of this time was spent sending diplomatic messages across the Trojan Reach and into the Aslan Colonies. Fourth Term/ Age 30: Reunited with Ambassador Zarko, when he requests her to be assigned to an exploratory mission which discovers a new alien species known as the Hoggoth. Katya was instrumental in the first contact proceedings, but was still passed over for promotion due to politics. (A superior officer was angered by Zarko's requisitioning of her four year term.) Over the four years, she became close friends with the diplomat and Zarko is now her Ally.

Fifth Term/ Age 34: Her fifth term assignment was an exploration mission into the Zagon Cluster. While exploring the planet Dashoth, Katya spotted a lone human, nearly dead in the moss wastes. She landed her scoutship and took the man in, nursing him back to health. His name was Nathan Nathan and he had a strange sort of alien chip attached to the inside of his right palm.
Dashoth is a newly discovered planet with its own indigenous people.
Once Nathan awoke, he explained that he had been attacked by his travelling partner, a former space pirate named Suki Akara. A few days later, Suki caught up with them and attacked. After a fierce ship battle, both Katya's scoutship and Akara's craft were seriously damaged. Both crashed in the moss jungles of Dashoth.

For months, Katya and Nathan trekked across the mosslands, pursued by Akara. Finally, Katya and Nathan set a trap for her and ambushed her. After a fierce battle, Akara was left for dead after falling into a crevice.
Eventually, Katya and Nathan discovered a small imperial research base and were able to leave on the next supply ship to come in. The supply ship took them to the nearest Scout base, where they parted ways. But Katya has kept up with Nathan, by following his articles in the Galactic News Network.
Sixth Term/ Age 38: Promoted to Rank 3 Senior Scout after being part of an important diplomatic mission that ended a dispute over ownership of several worlds between House Hawkmoon and House Al-Malik.

Homeworld Overview
Terrazani is a dry world with corrosive atmosphere. Because of this most of its inhabitants live in underground compounds or atmosphere controlled surface dwellings. Vac Suits must be worn on the surface.
The Terrazani people are human with a savage, barbaric culture. Their civilization collapsed centuries ago, leaving behind warlike scavengers who are ruled by aggressive Warlords who constantly prey upon each other for scavenged resources. (Think Mad Max, Beyond Thunderdome) Air and water are fiercely fought over.
The poor starport is maintained by an impersonal bureaucracy of strange aliens that the Terrazani call Fixers. They make patchwork and unorthodox repairs to ships and the port itself. It is taboo for a Terrazani to kill a Fixer.
The mysterious Fixers of the Terrazani Starport
Due to the harshness of this world, many Terrazani leave the planet to become pirates. Terrazani Pirates are quite common in the sector and are feared for their barbarism.
