Second Term/ Age 22: Nathan continues his medical education, and over the next four years he earns a Physician Rank 2 Certification. Secretly he continues to help the Rebels more and more. During his work with the rebels, he meets Suki Akara, a pirate who has been smuggling equipment to the rebellion. They develop a romantic relationship, which eventually leads Nathan to leave Leecium.

Third Term/ Age 26: Nathan leaves the medical service and is smuggled offworld by Suki. He becomes a drifter, roaming from planet to planet with Suki. The rough life toughens him up. In the fourth year, he discovers that Suki has been secretly studying an ancient alien technology similar to the abominations found on the surface of Leecium. A sliver of alien tech leaps out and attaches itself to his right palm. Suki discovers him soon after and attacks him. He barely escapes and flees into the moss jungles of Dashoth.

After days of pursuit, Nathan is discovered near death by an Imperial Scout named Katya Kornov. She nurses him back to health, but when they try to leave in her scout ship, Akara attacks. The result, is that both ships crash into the moss forest.
The largely unexplored planet of Dashoth.
For months, Katya and Nathan trekked across the mosslands, pursued by Akara. Finally, Katya and Nathan set a trap for Akara and ambushed her. After a fierce battle, Akara was left for dead after falling into a crevice.
Eventually, Katya and Nathan discovered a small imperial research base and were able to leave on the next supply ship to come in. The supply ship took them to the nearest Scout base, where they parted ways.
Fourth Term/ Age 30: Nathan spends his next four years travelling from planet to planet, making a living as a freelance journalist, reporting on whatever he encounters as he travels. But he also begins to write editorial pieces and expose's about homeworld. He rails against the totalitarian Civil Service Protectorate. He also praises and seems to share the views of the Religious Caste. He becomes a minor celebrity through his writings, which attract the attention of Thaylon Ked, the leader of the Leecium rebels. Ked begins to feed information and provide interviews to Nathan via secret communicades.

Fifth Term/ Age 34: As Nathan continues to grow more famous as a journalist, he also begins to study Social Sciences. He is forced to move from planet to planet incongnito for fear of attack by agents of the Protectorate. During this time, he finds an ally among the Religious Caste. Starport Priest Ovus Lann. The priest begins to warn Nathan when the Protectorate agents get to close, allowing him to evade capture.

Sixth Term/ Age 38: Nathan continues to report on Leecium, pulling the planet further into the galactic spotlight. He accepts a challenge by a Leecium Representative to engage in a holographic debate on the newsnet. During the debate, the representative attempts to discredit Nathan, by revealing that he secretly helped the rebellion as a doctor and also that he ran away with a known criminal. But the attempt backfires, and Nathan is now thought of as a political hero of the Leecium Lower Caste. Leecium doubles its efforts to try to capture or kill Nathan, so he is forced to move from planet to planet as secretly as possible.
Retirement/ Age 42: The game begins as Nathan seeks discreet passage on the PC's Free Trader.

Homeworld Overview
Leecium is a high gravity world with an insidious atmosphere. The humans who live here live in gravity-controlled arcologies that withstand the brutal environment or in gravity-controlled subterranean complexes. Water is very rare, but is readily available to the higher caste of the population via molecular replication.
A Leecium Arcology city where the Three Upper Castes may live.
Leecium society is composed of four factions. The most powerful faction is the Civil Protectorate, composed of the Citizen Caste. The Protectorate runs the totalitarian government that rules the planet. Crime is rare, law enforcement is ever-present and efficient, and penalties are severe. Civil order is valued over individual freedom.
The second faction is that of the Nobility. They command greater respect than the Citizen Caste, but possess less political power. The Noble Caste oversee technological production and other industries.
The Leecium Starport
The third of the Upper Castes, is the Religious Caste. This caste follows a transcendent philosophy they refer to as Ascension, which they associate with the stars. The Starport is their temple and is a holy site. They rule the Starport and maintain it. They see space travel as a holy enterprise.
The Central Temple inside the Leecium Starport
The Lower Caste members are little more than slaves and live in subterranean complexes. They are not allowed into the Upper Caste regions or to travel offworld.
Enforcer Drones watch over Low Caste workers in a subterranean factory
Their technology is limited to TL3 by the government and they are under constant watch by enforcer drones. 400 years ago, the members of the Lower Caste were the ruling class of Leecium. However, Leecium's technology went wild, creating rebellious robotic creatures that still stalk the surface. The Lower Caste were blamed and as punishment live in poverty and are kept away from any technology above level 3.
The Lower Class live in constant danger of factory accidents and occasional robotic abomination attack. And recently there has surfaced a secret cult who capture the lower caste people and drain the water from them in some sort of unholy ceremony.

There is hope for the Lower Caste, however. For the last 40 years there has been a civil war led by a charismatic leader named Thaylon Ked. Ked and his rebels have taken refuge in forgotten tunnels beneath Leecium. They hunt the robotic abominations on the surface of the planet to forage illegal technology that they can use to fight against the totalitarian government. Those close to Ked, however know that should he win, he plans to rule as a benevolent dictator.
