Fionna LOVES Christmas! It's the best time of year. Family and friends having fun together, drinking hot chocolate, and exchanging gifts. Everything is better at Christmas. Proper gift shopping should be started in October at the latest and each gift should have a special touch to show that a lot of thought went into it. Christmas morning, here is what the New Mutants will find under the tree (assuming we don't die);
Billy: Remember last summer when we got to go to Coney Island? When we took pictures in the photo booth together? I made the strip of pictures of us into a bookmark. Along with that, I got you a personalized Bible. I noticed that you go to the chapel every Sunday morning, but never mention it to any of us. Maybe I can go with you sometime? Oh yea, The inscription on the Bible says "Never stop being yourself" Love Fionna 12/24/89. Merry Christmas Billy.
David: I hope you don't mind, but I asked your Mother about your favorite things from when you were little. She said that you use to have one of those sock monkey toys and carried it everywhere but it has been lost. Well, guess what? I got you a sock monkey! I know it's silly, and you're too old for things like that, but I just thought it might bring you some memories of happy times, and you seem like you could use some of those. Merry Christmas David.
Greg: I know you don't do holidays and family stuff so I won't go on too much. I noticed that the silver lighter you use is all dingy and scuffed. You play with it all the time and I think it must be special to you. I was going to get you a new one, but then I found these neat cases that you can keep them in. The case I got for your lighter has the Saltire on it. That way your lighter will always have a safe place, Just like Muir Island is for you. Merry Christmas Greg.
Jubilee: I guess this is technically a present from Logan and myself, as he helped me with the first few pages. We got you a scrapbook! The first section covers some of the places you and Wolverine traveled together on your adventures in Asia. I guess you and your team will have to fill the rest of it up. Merry Christmas Jubilee.
Tanya: You have only been on the team for a while now but in that time I feel like we've gotten to be good friends. With all the stuff that happened with the Shadow King, I was afraid that we would lose you. I was so happy to see that you came out of it all an even stronger version of yourself. I got you a new black trench coat, just like your shadow armor jacket. It is not meant to remind you of the dark times, but of the fact that no power is great enough to make you something you are not, and I admire that more than you know. Merry Christmas Tanya.
The list goes on, including May'lani's Time Life People of the World picture book, so she can find things that she wants to look like, and not just be told how to look. Her Mom gets the locket that she "hinted" about wanting, while other people get CDs of music she thinks they would like, hats to cover horrible mutations, and so on. Even Legion get a present, a Slinky (though he has to share it with himself).
