Map of the North East Lands
The Bone March-A former province of the Great Kingdom of Aerdy, this land is now ruled by demi-human warlords, who constantly raid their neighbors on all sides.
Dor-Andar- A dwarven city at the head of the Jenelrad River. Half of the city is outdoors at the base of the mountains, while the other half consists of dwarven halls under the mountain. Dor-Andar is currently allied with the Frost Barbarians of the Haldar in an attempt to keep the forces of Orcus from expanding into their lands.
Dor-Toril - A dwarven city, one of the last safe havens in the northeast that is free from the influence of Orcus. Ruled by King Hamilcar Stonehammer, the city of mostly dwarves, also has a large population of gnomes and shadowlings who fled beneath the mountains when their lands fell to Orcus' armies.
Frost Barbarians - Known as the Haldar, these honorable barbarians are allied with Ratik and Dor Andar. Their major concern is holding the forces of Orcus at Krakenheim.
The Great Road - A great underground road that connects Dor-Toril with Dor Andar and the rest of Greyhawk. The road is patroled by the Order of the Roadwardens and also contains passages that lead elsewhere into the Underdark.
Hold of the Stonefist- A brutal warlike, savage nation who are puppets of Iuz. They constantly raid the Frost Barbarians and are preparing to receive the coming tide of the Ice Barbarians.
Ice Barbarians- ( The Caldar ) Northernmost tribes of northmen who now worship Orcus and plan a holy crusade against the rest of the North.
Loftwood- Home of the Elves of Doran; A forest of impossibly large trees, some with entire cities within the crook of their branches.
Lor Lorian- The fallen High Elf City; Now a city of ghosts under the rule of Orcus.
Rappan Athuk- City of the Dead; The capital of Orcus' kingdom and the site of his return to the Prime Material Plane.
Ratik- The Archbarony of Ratik was once the northernmost province of the Great Kingdom of Aerdy. Now it is an independant kingdom, doing its best to fend off the Bone March and the giants from the Rakers.
Sablewood - The Woodsmen of the Sablewood were once a proud people. Now they are undead servants of Orcus and the wood is a forest of the dead.
Snow Barbarians - ( The Valdar ) Half a century ago the King of the Valdar sent his daughter Gorla and others to journey to Rappan Athuk and to prevent Orcus from being summoned to the Prime Material Plane. She failed. Gorla returned as an undead warlord of Orcus and proceeded to conquer her own people. No living barbarians exist now among the Valdar. Now this horde of undead barbarians move to the west, trying to bring their same fate to the Frost Barbarians.
Thur-Agrim- This ancient dwarven city is now under the rule of Orcus. These undead dwarves constantly war against the forces of Dor-Toril. Their undead King Dungar is the father of King Hamilcar of Dor-Toril.
The Winter Kingdoms The Seven Winter Kings banded together to try to prevent the priests of Orcus from summoning him to the Prime Material Plane. They failed. Orcus now has turned the Winter Kingdoms into nations of the undead.
Arannon- Former Human Kingdom devoted to Pelor; Now called Soull.
Lor Lorian- Former city-state of the High Elves, now a city of ghosts.
Sablewood- (see above)
The Shadow Elves- Formerly nomadic elves who roamed the Winter Kingdoms; now shades under the command of Orcus.
Snow Barbarians- (see above)
Thok Arcrum- Orc kingdom who, despite centuries of warfare against the other winter kings, allied with them to defeat Orcus. Now an undead vassal kingdom of Rappan Athuk.
