Urik is the twin of Umber, although cursed to be a Tiefling instead of an Assimar.
Urik was born the son of a Solar angel in the service of the Elemental Princes of Good. A voracious reader and daydreamer, this angel was drawn to a human woman named named Selana.
Selana was an agent of the Elemental Princes, who posed as a weapon-master on the Prime Material Plane. She was a difficult agent, always disrespectful of authority and questioning her orders.
The specifics of his parents union are unknown to Urik. But what is known is that a year after his birth, Selana and Umber travelled to the city of Dor Andar, where his mother found work training the city's nobility in the art of swordplay. Urik was taken to live with his father on the Celestial Planes.
At the age of 1 - Urik was passed around from relatives house to relatives house, but no one was prepared to deal with him for very long.
Even by the age of 2, Urik was prone to steal from his relatives.
At the age of 6 - Urik learns that his has a mother and a twin brother when he sneaks into a palace of an Elemental Prince of Earth. He is caught and learns of his relatives from the Elemental Prince.
At 8 - he has become very skilled with a bow.
At age 9 - his father is disgraced and stripped of his rank. His father delivers Urik to his mother on the Prime Material plane, where she has gained the reputation as the city's finest weapon-master. Urik and Umber become very close.
At age 13- Urik scandalizes the family by being accused of picking pockets, but the accussations are never proved.
At the age of 14 - Urik begins training with his mother on the use of the longsword.
At the age of 16- Umber begins to see Urik's deviousness and the two brothers begin become less close. Selana begins to favor Urik over Umber. That same year, Selana becomes the King of Dor Andar's most trusted advisor.
At the Age of 18 - Selana convinces Urik that the King has turned against them and will have them killed. She also says that it is Umber who has turned him against the family.
Selana, with the helpf of Urik, overthrows the King of Dor Andar and Selana declares herself queen. Umber confronts Urik, who nearly kills him. Urik flees.
Urik is now Prince of Dor Andar.
At 19 - Urik realizes that his mother is in league with Orcus and has been manipulating him for years. He tries to overthrow his mother, but fails and flees the city as an outlaw.
At 20 - Urik is caught by his mother and sentenced to death. But Urik is rescued by outlaws. Over the next year, Urik becomes the leader of this outlaw band and conducts raids against Dor Andar.
At 21 - Urik learns that Umber is now a famous hero in Dor Toril and he travels there to try to find him.
