Code: The Wild
Principles: To keep Reality free. Freedom is the highest beauty. The Excrucians are the greatest threat to Freedom.
Savitr is a Wild Lord. He entered Reality through the Shimmering Wall and can remember nothing of his former existence. His anger at what he felt was a loss of himself, led him to depravity and to sympathize with the Dark when he was a young Imperator. He cultivated the Ordo Savitaris, a Mystery Cult that sought to learn what their lord had lost and to uncover the mysteries of the Excrucians.
But over time, Savitr’s love for Reality superseded his sense of loss and his heart began to change. The final catalyst for this change was his romance with El-Eleth, a Lord of Light. Through this love, he was able to find the strength to find the part of himself that was leading himself into despair and cast it out. It is said that out of love Savitr drowned himself in the sun, only to be reborn three days later as the Golden Vedic.
He is now renowned as an honorable warrior against Excrucian influence. He is an inspiring figure and those who come before his presence cannot help but feel roused by his glory and purity of purpose. Yet, there are those who say that behind his Golden Mask are still hidden raging passions and dark impulses.
His greatest shame is the loss of the Estate of the Sun. He was stripped of that Domain by the Council of Four as punishment for betraying the First Code Fidelitas. And even to this day, his chancel has no sun in its sky. His lover El-Eleth was stripped of the Estate of Debate as punishment and the two forbidden meet alone again. In this ruling, Lord Entropy was merciful.
When Savitr was reborn, the Ordo Savitaris abandoned him. The cult no longer serves him, but continues in its original purpose, resisting any efforts by the Imperator to change it.
Savitr has a dislike for Modern Technology which may explain the alternate route science has taken in his Chancel.

Achaenon ( pronounced Ark-ah-non) is chancel that consists of a miraculous steampunk coastal port city and its environs. It is as wild and dangerous a place as it is wonderous.
Savitr’s spirit is so invested in the land that Divine Vapors burst from vents in the earth. These vents are used as the energy source for the city and as the basis of its steam-based technology. Air-dirigibles and steam tube tunnels are common.
The city is somewhat like a Steampunk Rome, with dazzling architecture and art. But it also has sprawling poor underlevels, vast areas of abandoned industrial wastes to the North, a Temple District that is largely empty, and port districts filled with freebooters and cutthroats.
Its Suspended Gardens District is renowned across reality as a spot for lover’s trysts, but also for its danger. It is common for all affluent chancelfolk to wear a sword at their side and duels are common. Unfortunately murders as well. Many nobles are known to sneak into the chancel for trysts, despite the Council of Four’s prohibition of loving.
The City Prefecture and it’s Bobbies maintain order for the wealthy and powerful, but is riddled with corruption.
The Air Ministry and Sea Ministry patrol the city’s skies and waters, but are outnumbered by the pirates that hide in the outer islands and the Ventlands of the East and West.
The entrances to the Chancel are many and unguarded, so the surrounding seas are easily entered by those who know how, or by unwitting mortals suffering from mythical dementia.
The city is known as the City of Orphans. Some say because of the number of lover’s trysts that bloom here and then are quickly forgotten. Others say as a reflection of the Imperator’s views on freedom.
Archaenon is also known for the courageous, swashbuckling rakes that it produces. The people of this chancel are characterized as brash, brave, and fearless. Sometimes as reckless, careless with abandon, passionate yet fickle lovers, but always appreciative of what life gives them.
There is a sizable Oriental District that borders the ruined Temple District and at its edge is the Temple of Gratitude. All of people of Archaenon observe many days of Thanksgiving throughout the year.
Although the sky becomes bright during the daytime and darkens at night, the chancel has no sun.
The Imperator is honored as the creator of Archaenaon, but is thought of neutrally. He is not thought to be overly concerned with the welfare of the chancelfolk, merely with providing them with the freedom to live. His Nobles are respected as extremely powerful aspects of the Imperator.
First Minister Reinhold
The Chancel is governed by an Eru, First Minister Reinhold. He insures that order and the status quo are maintained in the chancel. He mostly works to consolidate his power and resents the interference of the Nobles.
