Episode 1


The Philosophica Esoterica

In New York, Navarro Gris (criminal, occult fence, and cult leader) and his followers obtain an occult manuscript named the Philosophica Esoterica. His cult gather in a loft apartment to try to open a portal to Shadow. Navarro starts the ritual, but just as he does, two of his newest followers, Jackie Wu and Bobby Ding whip out guns and ruin the ritual. Gris is able to take out Bobby, but Jackie escapes with the book. Shadow tendrils from the portal eat anyone who wasn't killed by the two traitors.

Gris is shot, but Tee is able to drag him out and get him to the hospital.

When Gris learns that his entire cult has been wiped out, he gathers his three remaining friends. Tee, Dezi and Fresco are able to link the two traitors with Delacey, the man whom Gris bought the book from. They come up with a San Francisco address.

Gris, Tee and Dezi fly to San Francisco to go after them.

Geena Yang ( amateur martial artist, homeless shelter volunteer and amateur occult investigator ) gets an urgent call from her homeless friend, Elijah (who has Shadow visions).

Geena rushes to the underpass where he sleeps and finds two men abducting him. She smashes her car into the first man and subdues the second with her kusari-gama. She shoves the second man into the trunk, and she and Elijah take off in the men's sedan.

They take him to the river and interrogate him. They learn he is a member of the Black Phoenix Tong. They've abducted eight homeless people. Geena is able to get an address out him for a Chinese restaurant in Chinatown called the Gold Dragon.

Later, all of the players enter the Gold Dragon. Gris begins to interrogate the cook, when Vincent Connor and a group of men enter and try to take over the interrogation. A fight breaks out. Rodney is stabbed in the leg by Tee. Gris shoots a big bald caucasian in the head. Geena takes out Slim. The players capture Vincent and interrogate him.

He says he works for a man named Jacques Lastronde, who is looking for Delacey too.

Everybody goes into the kitchen before the police arrive. They find a secret door in the basement and bust in on some Tong members holding Delacey.

Episode 2


The SOM Tower, where Cho and the Black Phoenix Tong tried to use the Philosophica Esoterica to open a portal into Shadow.

After freeing Delacey, the group finds a stash of stolen electronics still in the original packaging. They stack up on it and try to find a back way out of the Tong tunnels.

They come out on a back alley and find three Tongs yelling at the Tong they had set free last episode. ( Gris had convinced him to give up the Tong and this guy had tried to bite off his tattoo)

A fight breaks out. One Tong escapes but the players take out the others and steal their white Escalade.

Geena gets a call from Martha asking her to meet her at the SOM tower. Also gets a call from Jacob.

Gris gets word from Fresco via email that Lastronde wants to talk to him. Lastronde tells him there's been a misunderstanding and invites them all to dinner to discuss things. But first asks him to stop by a toy store and get a Widdle Biddle Web Buddy toy.



The players cross the bay and go to Lastronde's house. He recieves them cordially and explains what is going on.



The Philosophica Esoteria is linked to a Black Onyx statue in Lastronde's possession. With the book, one can command a creature of Shadow to do its bidding.

Lastronde hired Delacey to steal this book from Cho, the leader of the Black Phoenix Tong. But Delacey instead went to New York and sold the book to Gris. Cho sent his men to get it back.

Cho plans to sacrifice the eight homeless people his men kidnapped and open a portal to Shadow at midnight this evening.

Lastronde tells the players that if they will bring the book to him, that they can share the power of the Onyx Statue.

He also opens the Web Toy and shows that the circuits on the computer boards spell out Occult diagrams. The company producing the boards belongs to Cho and Martha Yang is also an employee.

The players "agree" to help and take Vincent Connor with them.

On their way to the SOM Tower, Geena gets a call from Cho using Martha's phone. He threatens to kill the homeless men and possibly Martha, unless Geena and Gris come to meet him at the SOM Tower by themselves.

Geena and Gris meet with Cho and his entourage. He tries to recruit them. Gris "agrees." Geena refuses.

He brings them upstairs to witness the ritual. Gris, having previous knowledge of the book summons the spirit of Morning Eagle and interferes with it. Geena tears into Cho's men.

In the end, they save the victims and prevent the ritual. Billy Ding, Bobby's cousin is killed by Geena. Geena also kills Martha, her adopted mother. Gris wounds Jackie Wu and Mister Fong, who escape.



Cho enters the ritual circle and becomes consumed by a Shadow spirit. But Geena severly wounds him. In a moment of weakness, Gris convinces him to fight for his existence and Cho throws himself out of the skyscraper window.

The players escape with the homeless and get them to safety. They trade the Escalade in for a van and fill it with the stolen electronics. They swing by Geena's house and fill it up with her Occult library also. Then they swing by and pick up Jacob.

The game ends with the players and their companions packed into a crowded van, filled with stolen electronics, Occult books and one very smelly homeless man, driving to Las Vegas to lie low.

Episode Three



The game begins with the Shadow Chasers in a white panel van, filled with stolen electronics and occult books, speeding across the Nevada desert towards Las Vegas.

The drive is interrupted when Elijah, who had been sleeping in the back, wakes up and goes crazy. The van skids to a halt and Elijah runs out, yelling that something is there. He feels the presence of shadow.

Geena and Gris follow a dust devil across the highway. Gris commands the Shadow to show itself. The dust devil briefly takes the form of an old pastor who points to a coin on the ground before disappearing. The coin is a brothel token to the Wild Kat Ranch in Mina, Nevada.

The Shadow Chasers decide that they need to go to Mina.

On the drive there, Geena tells Jacob about Shadow and how they are working to fight it. And that she killed her adopted mother. Jacob is distressed and grows silent.



Once they arrive in the small town, they check into a motel. The town sheriff pulls up and asks them some questions, then leaves.

While getting situated in their room, Geena sees Vincent sneaking a cell phone call to someone. Then she notices that Jacob has gone off to talk to the sheriff.

When Jacob comes back to the room, they interrogate him and he tells Geena that she needs help and that the police can help her.

Gris and Geena decide to walk to the mini-mart to get supplies and things to clean Elijah up with. They leave everyone else in the motel room and tell Tee to watch them.



At the mini-mart, things quickly turn ugly when Geena discovers that everyone in the store is possessed by shadow creatures. A fight breaks out and the sheriff arrives to break it up. Gris and Geena either kill or subdue every one (except for the small girl who runs off ) and then they call Dezi who comes driving up in the van. Jacob stays behind at the hotel.

Gris finds out who the small possessed girl is and they drive to her parents house. There, they find out that she has been acting strangley for weeks and that they can't control her. Sheriff Gonzalez advised them to do nothing, that she would take care of everything, but no change has happened.

Geena finds a crayon drawing of the Mina Church in the girls room. Gris finds out its been boarded up for months, since the pastor was killed.



The chasers head to the church to investigate. Inside, they find the pastor's notes and a xerox copy from a book discussing a Tree of Rot. According to the pastor's notes, in 1870, half the town murdered the other half after a "dark man" entered town. The US Marshalls came in and there were mass hangings of the murderers. They also discover that the holy water from this church has healing properties and they fill up four milk jugs with it.

As the chasers turn to leave, a truck bursts through the wall of the church and tries to run over them. Possessed townsfolk leap out of the truck and begin shooting at them. At one point, Gris executes an incredible leap, rolls along the roof of the truck and lands in the bed. He then whips around and shoots the driver in the back of the head. Geena makes a discovery and she somersaults onto a possessed townsfolk's shoulders and jams the milk jug of holy water into her mouth, expelling the shadow spirit.

After the fight, they realize that the townsfolk have stolen their van, with Dezi and Elijah in it.

Gris and Tee jump into the cab of the truck that tried to run over them. Geena and Vincent jump into the back. They burst out of the church and speed after the van.

On the main highway, they are quickly pursued by the sheriff's bronco, which slams into the back of their truck, causing Vincent to fall out of the bed. Mr. Tanaka the mini-mart owner jumps into truck, and into the cab with Gris and Tee. Geena is able to do a flying kick through the bronco's windshield to land a double kick into the possessed sheriff. Gris is able to slam on the brakes and cause Mr. Tanaka to shoot out of the truck's windshield.

Gris takes the truck off road and follows the van to the Mina Cemetary. At least 60 cars surround the cemetary, illuminating it with their headlights. A creepy dead tree rises out of the cemetary and two townspeople lower Dezi into a hole at its roots.

Geena grabs two gas cans and rushes to the tree.



Meanwhile the "dark man" appears and Gris and Tee battle it.

Under the tree, Geena finds an alien-looking plant and learns that the townfolk have been kidnapped one by one, brought here, and fed the fruit of this shadow tree. The possessed girl and others are trying to force it down Dezi's throat.

In the end, Gris destroys the "dark man" with his magic revolver. Geena dowses the shadow tree with holy water, which ignites the tree and frees the town from possession.



The Shadow Chasers haul ass out of town, picking up Jacob on the way, who is too stunned to speak. But they can't find Vincent. They fill up on holy water at the church, and the ghost of the pastor appears to thank them.

Then they speed out of Mina, on their way to Vegas.

Episode Four


The Gold Coast Casino, Las Vegas

The Shadow Chasers enter Las Vegas at three in the morning, and get three rooms at the Gold Coast Casino.

Navarro forges new IDs for himself and Geena. Navarro's new alias is now "Victor Shlotsky." Geena's is "Tong-Tong."

Geena cleans and shaves Elijah, much to his dislike, and gives him new tourist clothes. A Las Vegas t-shirt and sweat pants.

The chasers realize that a van full of stolen electronics is going to be a problem. They call Fresco, who gives them a number for a contact in Vegas. Someone they've acquired occult items for in the past. Navarro calls the guy, named Martin, and they set up a meet.

They meet Martin at a mechanics shop in Old West Side. There are three other guys with him, one named Lynch. Martin buys the electronics and Lynch spots Geena's occult books and is very interested. But Navarro says no.

Lynch takes Navarro aside and offers him another job. He works for local crime boss Obidiah Falcone. Falcone's son Leonardo has been kidnapped by the Scaletta Family. They want nuetral people to deliver the money and pick up the kid and offer $10,000. Navarro accepts.

The chasers return to the Gold Coast and wait for Lynch's call. When the call comes, Tee drives Navarro and Geena a block away from the site and drops them off. They walk to where they are to pick up a car with a briefcase full of money in the trunck, but they see some other guys have killed the driver and are taking the case out of the trunk.



A fight breaks out. Two of the guys try to take off in the Lincoln Towncar, but Navarro shoots the tires out, then shoots the driver. Geena chases the last guy through a house and into a backyard, where she gets the case and takes off. Navarro, driving the other guys' BMW picks her up and they drive north to the site of the meeting.

In an abandoned industrial park, Navarro and Geena meet with Scaletta family members. They take them inside, where they realize that Leonardo Falcone is a young man with Downs Syndrome. The case has a thumb print recognition panel that ownly Leonardo can open. But when he does, they discover that no money is inside.

Instead, a spell is activated, releasing a shadow creature that tries to kill them all.



The chasers, with the help of the mobsters fight the thing. Geena is able to destroy it with the Book of Melech.

Afterwards, everyone realizes that they've been double-crossed by Obidiah Falcone. One of Scaletta's men recommend that Navarro and Geena come talk with Mr. Scaletta. They get in the awaiting limo and head west to Mr. Scaletta's place.

Episode 5


Home of Frank Scaletta

Geena Yang and Navarro Gris are driven to the home of mafia boss Frank Scaletta.

While they wait by the pool, Dezi calls and says that Tee and the van are missing. That means Geena's occult library is missing too. Gris tells her to take Jacob and Elijah and get out of the casino and find some place safe to hide.

Scaletta's daughter Giovanna comes out to take a swim and to use her charms on Geena and Gris. But they sense what she's up to.



Scaletta comes out, angry at his daughter's display and sends her away. Scaletta asks the chasers about the weird shit going on and they explain to him about Shadow. Scaletta wants proof, so Geena uses the Book of Melech to summon the spirit.

Once convinced, Scaletta tells them that his rival, Obidiah Falcone is trying to take out his family. Three years ago, Falcone hooked up with a new mistress, named Carmen. Rumor has it that she got Falcone interested into some weird stuff, and ever since he's been trying to get his hands on as many occult books as possible.

The conversation is interupted when Gris gets a call from Lynch. They argue and Gris demands to hear from Falcone himself. Seconds later Falcone calls. He tells Gris to meet Lynch and another associate at the Circus Circus Adventuredome so they can work this out. They have Falcone's son. Falcone has Tee and the books.

After the call, Scaletta proposes an alliance. That the chasers work with him to bring down Falcone. They agree. The chasers decide to go to Circus Circus to meet Lynch. Falcone decides to send four men in a separate car to watch their back.


Circus Circus Adventuredome

At Circus Circus, Gris and Geena meet Lynch and a new guy named Tony near the Xtreme Zone mountain. Lynch tells them to look into the front car of the Canyon Blaster roller coaster as it goes by. They see Tee slumped in the front car, with another mafia dude sitting next to him.

As Lynch and Gris begin to negotiate, a crowd of clowns marches out into the dome to begin a show. Geena uses the clowns to slip away unnoticed and move to an area close to the roller coaster tracks. There seem to be a large number of menacing looking midget clowns that begin to surround Gris and the Scaletta mafia back-up.



When the Canyon Blaster roars beneath her, Geena leaps down onto it, landing on the second car, behind Tee. The mafia dude turns around and tries to push her off. She whips out her kasura-gama, hooks it around his throat and yanks. The mafia dude's head flies off with a spray of blood. Tee turns to face her and she realizes its not him. A crazy sinister midget clown is wearing Tee's hat and jacket.

The Clown leaps up out of the first car and hops back to Geena, a straight razor in each hand, trying to slice her. But Geena hooks her kasura-gama onto the guard rail of the second car and launches herself into a flying kick, knocking the midget clown off of the coaster. She uses the chain of her weapon, to swing and pull herself back onto the coaster.

Meanwhile, Lynch learns all he's going to learn from Gris. He tells him that he doesn't give a fuck about Falcone's kid and that Gris will never make it out of Circus Circus alive. At that point, four midget clowns converge on Gris, doing cartwheels around him, trying to cut him with straight razors.



Gris calls upon the spirit of Morning Eagle and rips the soul out of one clown, intimidating two of the others and causing them to run. After a skuffle, he throws the last midget clown down into a decorative pool.

Security is alerted to a horrible accident on the roller coaster and Gris and Geena use the commotion to escape notice. They see the last of the Scaletta mafia guys being dragged into a service door by midget clowns. They follow.

They discover a second door with a touch pad. While Gris tries to break the code, Geena sees another midget clown enter behind them, shuffling some cards. They find out later that his name is Mr. Friendly and that he has a deck of "razor' cards.

He flicks the cards at them and they fight, chasing him across the Adventurdome. Gris cuts him on the forehead with one of his own razor cards. Geena finally confronts him after both of them jump in one of the water ride cars.

Mr. Friendly wants to live, so he tells them, how to get to the clown hideout beneath Circus Circus. But they've got to hurry, or Tee will be sacrificed by the stripper-priestesses. They let him go and hurry into the service door.

Beneath Circus Circus, they are ambushed by three more midget clowns. Both Gris and Geena are shot, but they are able to take out the clowns. They use two more of their water bottles of holy water to heal their wounds.

They discover a condemned area deeper beneath the hotel where the midget clowns live. They quickly take out the guards and swipe their AK-47s.

Inside they find about 30 midget clowns in a mosh pit, dancing below a stage. On the stage are three midget stripper priests dancing on stripper poles, with bloody cleavers in their hands. One of the mafia dudes has already been sacrificed. Tee is tied up against the back wall, with a second mafia dude.



Geena and Gris unload their AK47's on the mosh pit, taking out most of them and causing the remaining to panic. Then they wade in. Geena jumps on stage and starts fighting the stripper priests. Gris tosses Tee a straight razor with an incredible throw.

Geena begins a cinematic fight with two strippers using the stripper poles. She leaps up, doing a split between two of the poles to hang above the strippers and avoid their cleavers. They climb up the poles to try to slice her.

The third stripper leaps on Gris' face and tries to strangle him with her legs. He shoves his gun up her thong and fires. She howls and sommersaults off him. They fight, until he finally grabs one of her wrists, lifts her kicking off the ground, shoves the gun into her mouth and fires.



Meanwhile, a giant zombie clown has emerged. Geena uses the stripper poles to launch herself onto his shoulders and sinks her gama into his throat. After some bit of fighting, she hooks his mouth and splits his head open. Then she rips the spine out of the surviving stripper who tries to run.

The chasers free Tee and the mafia dude.

Tee tells them that his captors thought he was unconscious, but he wasn't. He overheard them talking. Some guy named Mack was going to drive their van with the books and drop it off somewhere. Then he was going to the Spearmint Rhino.

The chasers decide that if they can get to the Rhino fast enough and find Mack, then they can track down their books.

Episode 6

The chasers call Scaletta's men to pick up the mob guy they rescued. Next, they give Tee cab fair and tell him to meet Dezi and the others at Kitty's Cabana.


The Spearmint Rhino Las Vegas

Navarro and Geena then go to the Spearmint Rhino to track down Mack and try to find where their van was taken.

Navarro shmoozes his way in the front door of the club. He tries to spot Mack, but doesn't know what he looks like.

Meanwhile, Geena takes out the bouncer at the back door and sneaks into the stripper's dressing room. She finds some clothes that fit her and dolls herself up. Then she calls Navarro and gets him to arrange for the announcer to say that the next dance is for Mack.

Navarro slips a thousand dollars to the girl to have the announcement made. Once announced, Geena takes the stage and executes an incredibly agile stripper routine.

Navarro sees a guy move to the balcony of the VIP lounge to watch the show and guesses its Mack. Making his way upstairs, he uses his power of Psychometry to read where the man has been recently. He learns that their van was dropped off at the Downtown Las Vegas Palm Mortuary funeral home.

Navarro leaves. Geena skips out quickly to avoid the Spearmint Rhino management who realize that they've never seen her before.

Geen and Navarro take a cab downtown to the funeral home. Three wakes are being held, so its crowded. Going around the back, they see their van in the back lot.

Navarro uses his psychometry to learn the key code and they enter the back lot and then the back door of the home.

Inside, they see a man in a corpse preparation room. He is etching arcane symbols onto the bodies while humming along to Mozart. A mob thug sits nearby texting.

Geena sneaks in. Navarro then enters and greets the man. Alarmed, the man recites some occult phrases, animating the dead corpses on the table.



As the fight ensues, a door in the back of the room slams open. Navarro sees Martin in there catalouging Geena's books. A huge man named Clive storms into the room and attacks Geena.


The strong villain who fought with Geena

Martin flees. The chasers kill everyone else and quickly pile the books into the van. They notice that there is an extra book here, called the Codex Illuminatus.

The chasers evade the police and make a getaway from the funeral home with their van and the stolen occult books.


Kitty

Next they go to Kitty's Cabana to meet Dezi. She has befriended Kitty, the owner of the club and leads them upstairs to Kitty's apartment.

Once inside, Geena and Navarro check on Elijah, who has been locked in the bathroom. They find him sitting on the floor, having scrawled arcane symbols all over the bathroom using Kitty's make-up.

When Navarro and Geena step into the room, they both have a shared vision from Morning Eagle. When they awaken, they realize that they have to go to the highest point in Vegas with the Philosophica Esoterica and the Codex Illuminatus before the moon turns red this evening.

They quickly give instructions to their friends, but when they open the door to leave, a flesh golem stands menacingly waiting for them!

Episode 7

(Note: Beginning this episode, Nathan's character begins going by his real name, Ethan Cross. So I will refer to him as such through the recap)



The flesh golem attacks Geena in Kitty's apartment. All of the chasers team up on it, but barely scratch it. The floor to Kitty's apartment caves in and every one falls through into the nightclub below. Ethan is able to hurt it with his magical pistol and Geena finishes him off with the book of Melech.



A shadow creature seeps out of the destroyed remains of the golem.

Ethan and Geena swipe a patron's ferrari and speed towards the Stratosphere Tower. The shadow creature follows.

As they speed down the street, the creature begins to possess patrons and command them to throw themselves in front of the car. Ethan eludes them.

Next, the creature possesses the driver of an 18 wheeler, but Ethan, with Geena's help, is able to manuever the car under the truck. The creature then possesses a bus driver who slams into the truck, but Ethan is able to swerve onto the sidewalk to avoid injury and speed to the Stratosphere.



Once at the Stratosphere tower, Ethan and Geena make their way to the top, chased by the shadow creature. Once there, they make their way to the top of the Big Shot, where they are able to perform the ritual.

Ethan absorbs the Philosophica Esoterica, its inscriptions now written all over his entire body. He is now able to cast spells.

The Codex Illuminatus bursts into flames and the ink wraps around Geena's arms in the form of dragon-chain tattoos. Geena can now summon her tattoos into a magical kasura-gama.

The shadow creature tries to attach the Big Shot tower, but Geena slashes it with her new weapon. Ethan casts light on the tower, causing it to glow and the shadow creature flees.

Geena crawls down the tower. Security has arrived. She explains that Ethan is suicidal, then leaves. Ethan surrenders to the police, pretending to be suicidal and surrendering his magical revolver.

Hours later, Ethan slips away from the psychiatric ward of the hospital he's been taken to and is picked up by Geena and the others.



They head to the Mandalay Bay Hotel where Ethan gets a magnificent suite for everyone, checking in with his real name.

Ethan and Tee hire escort/massueses. Geen and Dezi go out on the town at the Gipsy. Elijah gets naked and meditates on the balcony. Jacob gets drunk.

Ethan calls Lastronde and tells him the book is gone. Lastronde is upset but tells Ethan that maybe they can work together.

Ethan calls Mr. Fong and tells him the book is gone. Fong tells Ethan that the Black Phoenix Tong will hunt him down and get their revenge.

Ethan calls Scaletta. He tells him that Leonardo Falcone is dead. The kid appeared to be possessed and took out three of Scaletta's men before they could put him down. But now, Scaletta cannot explain why he kidnapped him. Ethan suggests mind control.

Scaletta tells Ethan that Falcone has gone to the other families and used the death of his son as an excuse to wipe out the Scaletta family.

The next day, Ethan visits Kitty and pays for the damages to her night club.

Later, Ethan gets a weak cell phone call from Harry Lovejoy, a man claiming to have been betrayed by Obidiah Falcone and asking for help.

Geena and Ethan go to meet him near hole 15 at the Southern Highlands Golf Club. They discover his dead body and realize they've been hired by a ghost. Harry's ghost rises from the body and he explains the following.

He was the owner of Harry's Occult Shop. Falcone turned on him. Lynch killed him and his girlfriend, but has kept his girlfriend's soul.

Harry offers to rewrite his will to give them his shop, as well as other items, if they'll free his girlfriend's soul. They agree.

Ethan and Geena go to Harry's Occult shop and gather supplies there that Harry had hidden. Then they head to a fetish club in a bad part of town, where they know they can find Lynch.



In the club, Ethan pretends to be Geena's master. They ask to see Lynch. Lynch recognizes them from the short-circuit camera and calls for mob backup.


Tony the Knife

When several men arrive, including Mack, they surround Ethan and Geena. Tony the Knife comes up from the "dungeons" to escort them down to Lynch.

Lynch tries to intimidate Ethan, but it doesn't work. Ethan shoots Lynch and a fight breaks out. Lynch summons some sort of succubus from a tome, but Geena and Ethan take Lynch down fast and the creature returns to the book. Mack is shot in the ear and captured by Ethan. Geena slices up Tony the Knife, who actually kind of enjoys it, and he surrenders. Ethan intimidates the other mobsters to flee.



Ethan coerces Mack to finish off Lynch and he does. Then Ethan executes Mack.

Geena finds Simone's soul trapped in a sex doll in the back room. Ethan exorcises it. They loot everything they can from the room, including Lovejoy's tarot cards and leave Tony bleeding on the floor. Geena calls 911 for him when they get up to the street.

Ethan and Geena return to Harry's body. His ghost is there, along with his girlfriend's. He thanks them profusely and then bids his girlfriend Simone goodbye.




He meets the chasers back at the Occult Shop and changes his will to leave it to them. He also explains that his soul is linked to the tarot cards and that they can summon him for help.

During the next three weeks, the chasers move into the occult shop and fix it up. Fresco comes down from New York with all of the stuff from the old shop.

All over the TV, the news is reporting on a deadly gang war that's raging in Las Vegas.

Geena converts the basement of the occult shop into a combat training area and begins training the others.

The next game will begin after three or four weeks have passed.

Episode 8



Three weeks have passed since the last episode. Ethan and Geena have remodelled Harry's Occult Shop. John Fresco has flown down to Vegas, moving the New York bookstore merchandise into the new store.



The chasers have bound the succubus from Lynch's book as a guardian for the shop. Geena has named her Mina and trained her to work the counter.

Ethan researched the leather-bound book from the Mortuary and learned the means to animate zombies.

Geena has been giving rudimentary combat and shadow creature knowledge training to the other chasers.

Throughout the three weeks, the news has concentrated on the mob war that has broken out between the Falcone Family and the Scaletta Family.

The episode begins with Geena and Ethan patrolling the streets of the East Downtown area.



They are confronted by some latino gangbangers, but the chasers quickly intimidate them and send then running.

Elijah finds them and tells them he senses something. They follow Elijah to an abandoned construction site. Looks like a skyscraper was going to be built here, but was abandoned.

Both Elijah and Geena sense foreboding shadow creatures inside the fenced area.

Ethan talks his way into the building across the street from it and bribes the night watchman. They go up to the top floor and look down on the construction site.

The center of the site is a skeleton of girders. All around it, is a shanty town of homeless people. They see many of the homeless acting strangely and eating garbage.



A garbage truck pulls up and drives into the area and dumps more garbage. Some of the homeless gather around it and begin to eat. One guy from the truck leads an innocent guy towards a prostitute. A large bag lady, seems to be overseeing the whole operation.

Geena and Ethan get back down to street level. They leave Elijah behind as they climb over the fence.

They land by a homeless man. Geena tries to knock him out, but senses he is a shadow creature and decapitates him. The stuff that comes out of him doesn't look human.

Ethan hides. Geena slips into a lean-to and dons some homeless clothing. She overhears two men in the next shanty and senses one is in danger.

As Geena fights the homeless man, he sheds his human skin revealing a human sized cockroach beneath. Geena kills him.



Ethan and Geena stealthily make their way through the camp, until they are able to rescue the innocent man.

But the rest of the roach thralls have been alerted.

The large female sheds her skin revealing a massive albino roach. Ethan casts fire upon her, panicking the other roach thralls who flee away, scattering like...well, roaches.



A second roach thrall jumps in the garbage truck and tries to run over the chasers.

After a fierce fight, the huge roach tries to flee towards the girders. Geena kills the driver and chases the huge roach, finally killing it by driving the truck off of a drop and down onto the horrid creature.

Both homeless and roach thralls have fled, leaving the chasers alone at the site. No police come.

Ethan discovers numerological occult diagrams on the girders and they realize that someone is trying to open a portal to Shadow here.

Ethan and Geena spend hours performing the rituals to close the portal and by sunrise they are successful.

As they leave, they make note of the construction company: ARK Construction.

When they get back to the occult shop, Dezi does some research. ARK Construction is one of the many businesses that the Falcone Family controls.

Episode 9

The Vegas newspapers continue to cover the Mob war violence between the Falcone and Scaletta families.

The game begins in Harry's Occult shop. Fresco gives Ethan and Geena a tour of how he's set up the shop. Mina the succubus helps behind the counter and asks if she can "have" Jacob. The chasers tell her no.


Dr. Theresa Day

A woman enters the shop looking uncomfortable and asks to speak to the owner. Ethan and Geena step up. She shows them some arcane runes, which Ethan and Geena identify.

She introduces herself as Dr. Theresa Day, a resident doctor at Sunshine Hospital and Medical Center. She has a young girl patient exhibiting small pox-like symptoms with black sores. This disease is caused by a bacterial infection precipitated by bacteriophages that attack existing bacteria within the human body. Filaments in the head of the bacteriophage resemble the arcane runes she showed them. The disease has so far resisted all forms of treatment.





She mentioned the rune patterns to her colleauges, who thought it was an insane proposition. She shut up about them, but has come to the shop to learn more.

Ethan and Geena tell her that they can help her and for her to come back in six hours, at which time Dr. Day will sneak them in to see the patient.

Ethan takes the time to study the rune patterns and determines that they are forming a spell that is literally opening thousands of microscopic portals to Shadow inside the victims body.

Geena directs Dezi to research what she can. She comes up with some hacked documents from Sentex (Ethan's father's company) indicating that they may have worked on a similar contagion.

Once Geena tells him about the Sentex connection, Ethan decides to call his father. Adrian Cross seems suprised to hear from him and eager to meet with Ethan. Ethan describes the disease to his father and asks for help. Cross says that he will help and that he is flying into Vegas. He wants to see Ethan. Ethan says maybe.

Dr. Day returns to the shop, bringing the chasers doctor's uniforms and badges. She drives them to the hospital and escorts them into where the girl is being kept.

In the lab, Geena swipes a sample of the black pox. Ethan gathers the computer data of the disease and emails it to Cross.



Ethan then enters the girls room, and gives her one of the magical wafers. It heals her completely.

They leave a stunned Dr. Day and tell her that they'll be in touch about payment.

In the parking garage, Ethan and Geena are attacked by two mortocyclists in black. The light that reflects off of their helmets looks vaguely skull-like.

Geena knocks one through the window of an elevated walkway. Then kills the second one by smashing its helmet. Once their helmet is smashed, the bodies vanish as if the leather suits were empty.

They take a cab back to the Occult shop. When they get there, Lastronde's men Vincent and Rodney are waiting for them. They want proof that the Philosophica Esoterica was destroyed. Ethan shows him his new "tattoos" and tells them that now he is the book.

Vincent then tells them that Lastronde wants to introduce them to a man named Cosimo Fonte, a very learned occultist. Next, Vincent tells them that Lastronde wants them to find an 'evil' book called the Codex Illuminatus so that it can be destroyed. The chasers don't tell Vincent that Geena has already absorbed the power from the book and has become a Shadow Chaser. Before Vincent leaves, Ethan gives him a lesson in manners.

After they leave, the ghost of Harry Lovejoy appears. He warns them that Cosimo is member of the Order of the Crimson Dawn. After he explains the nature of the order, they realize that the Crimson Dawn has been sending the flesh golems to kill Geena. They surmise that the Crimson Dawn wants to kill Geena because she is a Shadow Chaser and that they would like to corrupt and control Ethan because of his abilities.

That night, Geena has a dream of a black sun rising over Las Vegas and of the black pox spreading through the city.

In the morning they are awoken by a phone call. It is Scaletta. He tells them that Falcone has the support of the other families and that things are not going well. His daughter Giovanna is in hiding at the Bellagio Hotel and he asks the chasers to escort her out of Vegas and to a private air strip in the desert. They agree.



Ethan rents a camero and they head to the Bellagio. When they get there, they find that Giovanna Scaletta is missing already. Scaletta's men can't find her and are in a panic. Ethan uses his psychometry and learns that she snuck past them on her way to the pool.



Geena and Ethan find her sunbathing at the pool. She says she's not going with them. She says she saw Geena manipulate the Book of Melech and she wants to learn about that power.

Ethan lies to her and says they're going to take her back to their occult shop. She agrees to come with them, but they notice that they are surrounded by three of Falcone's men. Falcone's men don't want to close in with so many people around, so they wait.

Ethan whips out his cell phone and calls the Bellagio front desk, claiming that a bomb has been planted by the pool and hangs up. Soon, hotel staff are clammering around the pool. Falcone's men realize something is up and one approaches, whipping out a katana that looks to be made of shadow.

Ethan shouts that the guy with the katana has a bomb. Everybody panics and the mobsters are caught up in the chaos.

Ethan and Geena get Giovanna back to their car and take off before the mobsters can get to them.

Once on the Vegas strip, they are once again chased by shadow motorcyclists. Ethan is able to cause one to crash, by ramming it with the camero. Geena takes out two of them, by standing on the roof of the speeding camero and taking out their front wheels with her magical kasura-gama.

The final shadow rider chases them out of Vegas. Right before it catches up with them, Ethan whips the car into a sliding halt, causing the rider to crash into it, and flipping him over and onto the pavement. Then the chasers speed off towards the private air strip.

Giovanna realizes that Ethan has lied to her and starts hitting him on the back of the head. Geena calms her with a plan for her to sneak out of the plane.

They pull up to the hanger and see an SUV parked outside.



Giovanna is pissed and gets off and storms towards the plane. Geena notices that there is blood spatters on the window of the SUV and calls out a warning to Giovanna. But its too late.

A huge shape lunges out of the hanger and grabs her. It is the same man that Geena killed in the mortuary. But now he's been reanimated as undead.

As Geena and Ethan rush to help Giovanna, they are attacked by Lynch and Mack, both who have been reanimated.

The fight is rough. At one point, Geena runs into the private jet and discovers the old man from the mortuary, also undead, trying to reanimate a murdered stewardess.

During the fight a black helicopter, piloted by an undead pilot swoops in and joins the fight.

Ethan and Giovanna are badly wounded by machine gun fire. Ethan is struck in head by the landing blades of the helicopter and falls to the ground. The undead private jet pilot tries to strangle him. In an attempt to shoot the zombie off of Ethan, Giovanna accidentally shoots Ethan instead. He loses consciousness.

Geena finishes off the last of the zombies and rushes to their rescue. But as she kills the last zombie who is standing over the fallen Ethan and Giovanna, she sees the helicopter coming in low.

The undead in the helicopter dive towards the three of them, driving the vehicle into the ground, hoping to kill everyone. Geena is able to grab her two fallen friends, one with each hand, and execute a highly cinematic backflip out of the way of the crashing helicopter. The chopper smashes into the SUV and the camero and there is a huge ball of fire, but the three of them are clear.

Geena revives Ethan. Ethan lays hands on Giovanna to stabilize her.

Ethan calls Dr. Day and convinces her to discreetly meet them at the air strip. She shows up in her mercedes and is shocked by what she sees. But she treats everyone and gives them a ride back to the Occult Shop.

Ethan tells her to expect more episodes of the black pox and that he is trying to get a cure for her.

Episode Ten

The chasers spend a few days resting after the air strip fight.

Geena asks Dezi to try to find other Shadow Slayers. Dezi suggests they try to hack into the Order of the Crimson Dawn.

Ethan gets a call from his father. The Black Pox is spreading through Las Vegas. He has the best people working on it. He asks Ethan to join him in working to find a cure. Ethan says he'll think about it.

Geena finds Giovanna in her bed in her room. Romantic activities occur. Ethan gets a spy camera and sticks in under the door and records a bit of the activities. Dezi sees and gets jealous.

After the activities, while Geena is exhausted, Giovanna tries to steal the Book of Melech from Geena's things. But Melech escapes the book and possesses Giovanna. Geena and Ethan try to stop Melech, but he escapes.

The chasers consult Mina about binding spirits and how to get Melech back. She agrees to help, but demands that she requires a male. The book is still an excellent vessel for binding a shadow spirit, so they decide to capture a new spirit and command it to track down Melech.


Harry begins set up the ritual area, while Ethan goes out and rounds up three gangbangers for Mina. He makes her promise that there will be no fatalities. She agrees and takes them into an upstairs room.

Hours later, Ethan enters the room. The gangbangers are weak and lying on the floor. Mina squats in the corner and gives birth to four incubi babies.

Ethan calls his father and asks if he'd be interested in buying them. He says yes and that he will send someone over.

A limo pulls up. It is a representative from the Order of the Crimson Sun named Cosimo. His bodyguard is named Ivanka.

He tries to recruit Ethan and gives him magic tomes containing all first level Arcane and Divine spells. Ethan says he'll think about it.

Dr. Theresa Day calls, asking the chasers to meet her at Advanced Biomedical, where the CDC has set up its Emergency Operations Center to deal with the Black Pox. But the chasers tell her she'll have to wait.

Harry finishes the ritual circle and shows them his granpa's inventions: fishing poles with arcane runes on them, used to fish spirits out of shadow.

Sentex operatives arrive to pick up the demon babies. While they are inside with Ethan, Geena knocks out the two guys in the front seat of the mobile lab and drags them into the alley. Then she breaks into the lab to find clues. She is able to help Dezi hack into the Sentex network and she swipes a sonic device and other items.

When the Sentex operatives discover two of their people are missing, Ethan convinces them to leave. "Its a bad neighborhood" They depart.

Ethan and Geena give the two operatives and the four gangbangers back to Mina to "dispose of."

Adrian Cross has been in Vegas for four weeks.

Sentex subsidary BioRad is aiding the CDC in Vegas.

Dr. George Daniels of BioRad is heading up the CDC taskforce in Vegas.

Dr. Daniels is also in charge of a Sentex project called Project Darklight.

Project Angelica is being sent to Vegas.

Sentex is monitoring the chasers, the Falcone Family and the Crimson Dawn.

They are searching for more Shadow Slayers, whom they call Interfectrix's.

They've been chasing Geena and sending Flesh Golems after her.

They suspect Madison Tate (see Geena's background) of being a potential Shadow Slayer.

Cosimo is flying Madison down to Las Vegas to meet him.

The game ends with Ethan and Geena deciding to try to intercept Madison at the airport.

Episode 11

Geena and Ethan race to the Airport to get to Madison Tate, before the Order of the Crimson Dawn can. But they are too late.

When they get there, Cosimo and Ivanka have already met Madison. Geena and Ethan confront them.

Geena jumps into the limo with Madison and tries to warn her about the Crimson Dawn. Madison, however, says that she holds Geena responsible for the death of her sister.

Geena and Ethan let them go, but then hire a cab to follow them. They trail them to the Mansion at the MGM Grand.

Ethan talks and pays their way in, and while he's securing a room, Geena follows Cosimo's driver and discovers that they are somewhere on the fifth floor.

Geena calls Dezi, who is unable to deactivate hotel security cameras. So, while Ethan is in their room, Geena climbs up to the fifth floor from outside of the building.

Peering in the penthouse suite, she sees Cosimo and Madison seated across from each other. Madison is holding a huge saber. Cosimo opens and ornate box on his lap and a shadow rat swirls out of it, towards Madison.

Geena crashes through the window.

Madison is too quick and invites the Shadow inside of her. The shadow rat leaps into her imbueing her with the power to track down and kill Shadow Slayers, like Geena.

Geena tries to fight them, but Madison slashes her with the saber, backing her to the broken window. Cosimo casts scanned scroll spells from his ipad. Ivanka enters and begins unloading her machine pistols.

In the end, Geena escapes out of the window. Madison shouts after her that she will track her down and kill her.

Ethan arrives to the fifth floor with hotel security, but Cosimo, Ivanka, and Madison are no where to be seen.

Back at the Occult Shop, Harry the Ghost has prepared the summoning circle.

Ethan and Geena are successful in summoning a new shadow demon to aid them in finding Melech. Benemaliel agrees to be bound to the book for 20 years and help them find Melech, in return for the souls of three men who have done evil.

Ethan retires to his room and spends the evening, creating a Greater zombie out of one of the Mexican gangbangers they killed.

Geena spends the evening getting her gear embrodered with her new sigil.


Special Agent James Kolt of the FBI

In the morning, Dr. Day comes to the shop, bringing along with her Special Agent Kolt of the FBI. He is very pushy and even holds a gun to Ethan's head, trying to get the cure for the Black Pox out of him. They learn that his wife has been infected.

Kolt gives them a scrap of paper that was in possession of one of the pox victims. It contains a rune of conjuration on it. Ethan uses his psychometry to determine that the homeless man who had the paper on him got it in the main sewer area in North Las Vegas.

Geen and Ethan decide to go to the CDC Emergency Operations Center and cure Special Agent Kolt's wife, and possibly others, and then to visit the sewer location when the next game session begins.
