Ativer: - Former Dean of Divination at the Acadamae. Still an instructor there. Longtime friend of Dagial, he crafted his throat and eye. Has now hired our heroes to secretly kidnap tieflings and bring them to him alive in exchange for magical items.


Caleb - Korvosan Guard informant, easily bribed, usually stationed at the Citadel.


Chantika - Former Captain of the Blood Sister. She, Rosa and Delana are all that's left of Sanuye's Blood Sister pirates. She hates men.


Cressida Kroft - Field Marshall of the Korvosan Guard. Appointed the heroes as agents of the Korvosan Guard. Asked them to bring in Verik and his gang.


Delana - One-eyed Bloodsister pirate with a fondness for Shiver.


Devargo, the King of Spiders - Ruler of Eel's End and information broker.


Garvin - Our heroes contact with Ativer at the Laughing Wave Inn.


Rosa - Blood Sister pirate who has a fondness for danger and attractive men, such as Ozzren.


Snotgrub - Member of the Foultooth Chokers, a Shingles goblin gang. Charmed by Aisha and follower of the party.


Theris - Cerulean Society Lieutenant, under Jorrilon, Overseer of Midland. Aisha and the heroes report to him.


Vandar's Thugs, Clegg and Zyrem - Hired by Vandar to watch his back.


Zellara - The spirit of a slain Varisian fortune-teller who inhabits a deck of Harrow Cards. She insists that the fate of our heroes is intertwined with the fate of Korvosa.

Ahanu, the Rain of Embers - Son to Onta; best friend to Sanuye and later her secret lover. When his father died, he became high chief of the Hawk Clan. When his secret love for Sanuye was revealed, she was exiled from the Clan.

Chantika - Leader of of the Blood Sisters. She is a pirate captain of an all female crew. Chantika hates men and loves punishing them. She has an irrational fear of trees and tree-like creatures. She is dependent upon her crew for emotional support and very much wants their approval.

Cytherea - personal bodyguard, assassin, and lover of Jorillon.

Jorillon - Cerulean Society underboss; overseer of Midland District.

Gaedren Lamm - Petty crime lord, leader of Lamm's Lamb's. Recently suspected of inciting a gang war in Korvosa.

Giggles - Insane orc overseer to Gaedren's urchins. Killed when hour heroes raided the Fishery.

Gundra - Female Shoanti warrior. Joined the Blood Sisters. Became best friend to Sanuye and her lover. Then betrayed them.

Onta, Son of the Hawk Spirit - High Chieftan of the Hawk Clan. Husband to Silver Wind and step father to Sanuye, until his death.

Red Moon - Or Kotori. First daughter of Silver Wind. Like her mother, she was an oracle. And upon her coming of age, she was givin her name and Silver Wind's holy spirit staff. Red Moon was always truthful, even if the truth pained the hearer. Cold, impartial truth.

Rook - Cerulean Society, right hand man to Jorillon. Midland District

Storm of Blades - Or, Meeda. Third daughter to Silver Wind. A wild, fiery child, she was the direct opposite of Red Moon. Fickle, and changeable, she could never be trusted. But she was a prodigy with the greatsword and soon became famous for her battle skill. And her wild nature.

Silver Wind - the famous Hawk Clan Shoanti Oracle. No shaman or seer was more powerful than she among the Shoanti and she was respected by all of the clans. And Shoanti from all over the Cinderlands would come to consult her wisdom.
Mother to Sanuye, Red Moon and Storm of Blades. Wed to Son of the Hawk Spirit, and after his death, advisor to his son Red Cloud at Sundown.

Yargan - A long time assistant of Gaedran's. Killed when our heroes raided the Fishery.

Zallara - Old Varisian harrower, whose son was killed by Gaedren and who later killed her as well. Our heroes possess a Harrow deck that her soul is tied to.

Zorlog was that he was a cruel, fearsome orc king of the Blackspire Orcs. He worshipped the god of pain, Zon-Kuthon. His war against the Shoanti was a horrible holy crusade in Zon-Kuthon's name. The Shoanti bear an incredible hatred towards him and the Orcs of Blackspire, still remembering the atrocities committed upon them. When the Orcs of Blackspire rose up to make war with the Shoanti, Silver Wind went with them, advising the Shoanti Clan Kings. In a climatic battle upon Mount Torgoth, the Orcs of Blackspire's army was shattered. But their leader, King Zorlog, fought to the end and confronted Silver Wind on the Torgoth peaks. Zorlog defeated her and had his way with her. Then fled into the mountains with the remainder of his broken army. The child she would have would be Sanuye.
