IN THE NEWS

After our first session there is a world-wide media storm. The media believes that a group of psychotic super-villain killers led by Lady Lightning, have been attacking members of the Freedom League in some twisted revenge plot aimed to hurt Captain Thunder.

First Lady Liberty was attacked while preventing a robbery of an armored car. Secondly, Johnny Rocket was killed by Bloodfiend when he responded to a murderous rampage in Beachhead.

Lastly, Lady Lightning and her team attacked Captain Thunder's wife at a taping of the Oprah Winfrey show. The Ghoul killed Oprah on world-wide television by biting into her neck. Members of the teen super-hero group Next-Gen showed up, but they began to fall under the assault of Lady Lightning and her team. Finally, Captain Thunder himself showed up. Lady Lightning pursued Captain Thunder as he tried to speed his wife to the emergency room. Lady Lightning's team took the opportunity to flee, taking the unconscious Bolt and Blackbird with them.

Lady Lightning was captured and is now being held on Blackstone Island Prison.

Anonymous sources have identified the killer of Johnny Rocket as Bloodfiend. The media is calling the killer of Oprah the Ghoul, because of his appearance. Aside from Tesla, the identities of the remaining villains are unknown.

SESSION 1 RECAP

SCENE 1: The Cyber-Mob


Mister Brains

The villains are summoned to meet with Cyber-Mob member Mister Brains in a secret Cyber-Mob burlesque lounge.


Lady Tarot

Mister Brains hires the villains to kill two targets. The first is Lady Tarot, lead adviser of the Don of the powerful Driogano Family. It is rumored that Lady Tarot is able to see the future with her tarot cards and is responsible for the Driogano's rise to power.


Foreshadow

The second target is the mysterious crime-fighter known as Foreshadow. This dark knight hero is rumored to have mystic powers that will allow him to also see the future. It is said he can see threats coming before they happen. He is also said to be able to see into the future during combat, predicting an opponent's move before it happens.

The villains take the job and set out to by the equipment they'll need.

SCENE 2: The Armored Car


Lady Liberty

On their way to buy equipment from a black market dealer, Tesla spots Lady Liberty flying over the city, carrying an armored car. Tesla attacks her. In order to save the lives of the captured robbers she has tied up in the back of the armored car, Lady Liberty sets the car down on the street. She is attacked by the villains and eventually driven down into a maintenance tunnel beneath the street, where Tesla, Bloodfiend and Ghoul knock her out.

Bloodfiend takes her top off and puts in on.

John Q. Public races off in the cab, avoiding the fight.

The other villains grab as much money as they can from the armored car, free the robbers, and flee through the sewers.

SCENE 3: Sugar Muffins

The villains travel to Tempest where they meet a black market arms dealer who operates under a bakery called Sugar Muffins. They arm up and buy a black van with tinted windows from him.

SCENE 4: Little Haiti



The villains decide that if they are going to go after Foreshadow and Lady Tarot, they need to find a way to counteract their powers of precognition. The villains decide that their best option is to approach the voodoo crimelord Baron Samedi in Little Haiti.

Once in Little Haiti, Grendel is able to locate Mister Tombstone, one of the Baron's lackey's and convince him that they would like to meet his boss. Tombstone directs them to a voodoo candleshop, where after a card reading with Lady Mamba, the Baron himself appears.

Grendel offers Baron Samedi rum and he is impressed by their show of respect. The villains ask him for some means to negate Foreshadow and Lady Tarot's powers of precognition and he agrees for a price. The Baron takes hair samples, fingernail clippings and/or skin samples from the villains as part one of the payment. For the second part, the villains agree to do a favor for the Baron in the future.

The Baron then takes the villains to a voodoo ceremony where they spend the night in revelry as a mystic potion is concocted. Each villain drinks from it and then the Baron promises that they will be immune to both Foreshadow and Lady Tarot's powers for the next few days.

SCENE 5: The Vampire Cartel

On their way to Beachhead district, the villains are intercepted by members of the Vampire Cartel, led by Cassandra Vale.

She claims that Bloodfiend is their property and she demands his return. But Bloodfiend attacks. The Ghoul drives most of the vampires away with his "fear" powers. And Bloodfiend kills Cassandra by driving the handle of his axe through her heart.

The villains steal the vampire's two limos and proceed in a convoy towards Lady Tarot's apartment building.

SCENE 6: The Southside Palace Luxury Apartment Tower

The villains pull up across the street from Lady Tarot's apartment building. They all pile into the van to discuss their plans when a police car pulls up and parks in front of them. Nervous by cop's presence, Bloodfiend gets out of the van and starts pissing against a wall. The cop gets out to confront him and the end result is Bloodfiend ripping the policeman's head off in front of shocked bystanders.

The rest of the villains decide to use this distraction. John Q. Public enters the building and kills everybody in the lobby with a radiation burst. Grendel manipulates the emergency response broadcasts and sends a false report that Tesla has been sighted at Star City University. Ghoul climbs up the side of the building and Telsa follows him flying. John Q. Public and Grendel join them shortly.

After quickly dispatching the two mob guards they find, the villains encounter six were-cats whom they kill after a fierce struggle in Lady Tarot's library. After the fight, however, they discover that Lady Tarot isn't home. She's currently hiding at the mansion of Don Driogano.

The Human Portal

Tesla's mother, Lady Lightning, arrives and using the teleporter villain called Portal, she teleports them all away.(Except for Bloodfiend who is left behind)


Johnny Rocket

Meanwhile, on the street below, Bloodfiend is still causing mass panic. Super-speedster Johnny Rocket shows up. Bloodfiend quickly realizes he's no match for Johnny's super-speed, so he grabs him and is able to overcome him with his super-strength. Bloodfiend murders Johnny Rocket on camera by cutting his throat with a policeman's badge. This image will dominate the world-wide news for weeks to come.

When the police arrive, Bloodfiend uses Johnny Rocket's body as a human shield and once he gets to the alleyway, Bloodfiend uses his incredible speed to evade capture.

SCENE 7: Lady Lightning's Luxurious Lair

Lady Lightning takes the villains back to another Star City penthouse apartment. She's killed the owners so she can live in style for a few days.

She asks the villains to help her attack a special episode of the Oprah Winfrey show that's taping tomorrow. They will be interviewing the wife of Captain Thunder, Nancy Gardner (a woman who both Lady Lightning and Tesla despise). The villains agree.

The Human Portal is able to locate Bloodfiend the next day and teleports him back to his friends.

The heroes rest up until the next afternoon when the show will be taped.

SCENE 8: The Oprah Winfrey Show

The Human Portal teleports Lady Lightning and the villains on to the stage of the Oprah Winfrey show just as the interview with Nancy Gardner has started. Lady Lightning grabs Gardner by the throat and begins ranting to the cameras. Ghoul immediately sinks his teeth into Oprah's neck killing her. The crowd erupts into a panic.

Special Operations Officer rush the players, but our villains begin to take them apart.

In the midst of combat, the teen-aged super-hero group Nex-Gen shows up, led by Tesla's brother, Bolt.

When Bolt arrives, Lady Lightning hurls his mother (Nancy Gardner) across the studio. But before he can speed over to catch her, Tesla is on him, shocking him into unconsciousness, his last sight is his mother's head striking the studio floor at a horribly wrong angle.


Captain Thunder

After minutes of intense fighting, Black Bird and Glamour are taken out by the villains. Things are looking desperate for Next-Gen when Captain Thunder makes a dramatic entrance! Seeing his wife is near death, he grabs her and jets away, trying to get her to an emergency room. But Lady Lightning is enraged and chases after him.

The villains decide its time to go. The Human Portal shows up and the villains begin to flee, taking unconscious Bolt and Black Bird with them. Bloodfiend stops the Champ from interfering with their escape, by tossing a grenade into the audience. The Champ throws himself on the grenade, instead of trying to prevent the villains from escaping. The Protege tries to stop them too... but Grendel materializes and (televised on worldwide TV) shoots Protege in the back before coolly stepping through the Human Portal.

SCENE 9: The wrap-up

The villains teleport back to Lady Lightning's temporary lair. The Human Portal gives them some friendly advice to ditch Bolt and Black Bird as soon as possible. Tesla stops Bloodfiend from killing Bolt and Ghoul from eating Blackbird. And the Human Portal teleports the two heroes to a random spot in New Hampshire.

SESSION 1 RECAP

SCENE 1: In the Villain's Temporary Lair - a Luxurious High-Rise Apartment

The villains awake the next morning to see the world-wide media storm caused by their actions of the previous day.

They receive a holographic phone call for Mister Brains who is worried that the villains might be just on a psychotic rampage instead of following the plan. Mister Brains instructs them to meet two more villains who will help them get the job done of taking out Lady Tarot and Foreshadow.

SCENE 2: Meeting in the Sewers

The villains meet the Dungeon Master and Herman Von Klempt in the sewers and go over the job with them. The Cyber-Mob will pay the group 6 million dollars for the death of Lady Tarot and Foreshadow. The catch is, that they have to bring Mister Brains Lady Tarot's tarot deck and Foreshadow's magical amulet.


The Red Death

Before they can leave, however, the group is approached by the Red Death, an enforcer for the Vampire Cartel. Via a holographic projection, the Royal Couple, leaders of Vampire Cartel offer Bloodfiend a deal. If he'll return to Vampire Cartel, they'll promote him to Disciple, where he'll be on track to possibly becoming a vampire. When he says no, the Red Death and his enforcer robots attack.

The villains tear through the enforcer robots and knock the Red Death out before he can escape. They interrogate him and find out that the Vampire Cartel really want Bloodfiend because of his unique blood. They think they can create a new, improved generation of vampires by studying him.

The heroes send a message to the Vampire Cartel through Red Death's communicator, that they'll have to do better than that. Then they kill Red Death and take his helmet as a trophy.

The Human Portal appears and says that he's been looking everywhere for the villains. He says that the White Knight has been calling him and wants the villains to meet him at Moxy's.

SCENE 3: Moxy's Den of Evil

The Human Portal brings them to a shadowy alley, telling them that its the entrance to the super-villain bar known as Moxy's. Once in the alley, they are met by the Doorman, who goes over the rules with them. The most important rule is that Moxy's floats inside the Darkforce Dimension. Anybody who acts up is ejected into a dimension of negative energy and don't live long.

The villains enter and are greeted with applause from the other super-villains there. Lena, the owner gives them all a free round. While the villains wait, they mingle a bit. Dead Girl takes a liking to Ghoul. The Militia-Man rants to Tesla about how he needs to take back the nation from the commies who are running it. Bloodfiend buys some drugs from Doctor Presto. Bloodfiend joins Heracles in a private room with a bathtub full of cocaine and a boy band. The Dungeon Master learns that Mindfreak is working for Doctor Simian, who also wants to meet the villains. But the group isn't interested in Simian's animal-uplifting views.


The White Knight

Finally, they are brought back to meet the White Knight. Because of his racist and homophobic views, he's pleased that the villains have killed Johnny Rocket and Oprah. He tells the group that a minister close to Oprah is organizing a manhunt for the Ghoul. The Honorable Minister Elijah Quinn has hired world-renowned bounty hunter known as The Hunter and has also garnered the help of two Christian heroes named Mark 16:16 and Luke 12:5. The minister plans to announce the manhunt at a rally on the steps of City Hall.

The White Knight wants the group to disrupt the rally with him in order to send a message. But most of the group is not interested in his racist agenda.

SCENE 4: The Attack on the Driogano Family mansion


The Exit

When the villains decide to attack Don Driogano's mansion, the Human Portal refuses to help. But he puts the heroes in contact with another teleporter called the Exit.

The Exit transports them to the Driogano mansion, where they soon learn that they've hired a different group of super-villains to protect Lady Tarot, consisting of The Crab, Midas, the Mime, Mindjack, Mosquito, the Rhinoceros and Swashbuckler.

After an intense fight, Driogano's villains were defeated, with only Swashbuckler escaping. John Q. Public executed Mindjack and Dungeon Master killed the Rhinoceros, while the rest of the villains were merely left unconscious.

Grendel discovered Lady Tarot in a panic room hidden in the wine cellar and quickly took her out with a few judo moves.

Then the villains had Exit teleport them to Bloodfiend's lair, a trailer in a wooded area in Rhode Island.

SCENE 5: The Interrogation of Lady Tarot

At Bloodfiend's trailer, the villains revive Lady Tarot and learn that she foresaw that she was in danger the moment the Cyber-Mob hired them. But once Baron Samedi cast his spell, she lost all track of them.

The villains wait for Foreshadow to arrive, assuming that he'll be able to track down Lady Tarot. When he doesn't arrive by that afternoon, Bloodfiend and Herman Von Klempt decide to go help the White Knight disrupt the rally.

SCENE 6: The Rally at City Hall

The Exit teleports Bloodfiend and Von Klempt onto the steps of the rally and right as the chaos begins! As the White Knight begins to burn hundreds of crowd members with his blue flames, Reverend Quinn flies up to face him, glowing with divine power! All hell breaks lose as the Hunter, Mark 16:16 and Luke 12:5 join the fray. Star City hero, the Cricket, arrives and desperately tries to save as many civilians from White Knight's flames as possible. And then a new speedster streaks onto the scene, claiming to be Joanie Rocket, Johnny Rocket's daughter whose come from the future to bring Bloodfiend to justice!

Things start looking bad. Von Klempt's war ape is taken down and Bloodfiend is near to collapsing under the onslaught of Mark 16:16 and Luke 12:5. Von Klempt grabs Bloodfiend and orders to the Exit to teleport them out of there.

SCENE 7: The Ambush at Bloodfiend's Trailer

When Bloodfiend and Von Klempt return, they learn that there's still been no sign of Foreshadow.

The villains continue to lay in wait for him, until he finally shows up at 4am in the morning.


Foreshadow

Foreshadow pounces on to Dungeon Master's hiding place, but is shocked when he realizes his powers of foresight only work on Dungeon Master and Von Klempt! Foreshadow takes a beating as he fights his way into the trailer, only to find Tesla holding Lady Tarot hostage. Tesla ends the fight by slamming Lady Tarot (tied to a chair) into Foreshadow.

The villains quickly strip him of his amulet, but when Dungeon Master delivers the killing blow with his sword, Foreshadow's body vanishes in a Obiwan Kenobi-style death.

They quickly kill Lady Tarot and their mission is done.

SESSION 3 RECAP

Three years have passed, since game session 2. The Earth is now under the control of the V'sori Empire. Nearly every super-hero on the planet is dead. And the players have each been captured over the last few days by the alien overlords.


SCENE 1: Blackstone Island

The villains awake as prisoners aboard a V'sori Prisoner Transport Craft, jetting across the ocean towards Blackstone Island Prison. But before the villains can be delivered to the prison, Doctor Destruction rescues them.


Doctor Destruction

Doctor Destruction gathers the players and makes a deal with them. In return for their freedom, they are assault Blackstone Prison and rescue a villain they've clashed with before: Mindjack. Three years ago, John Q. Public had executed Mindjack, but his mind hijacked a nearby body, enabling him to escape. Before the villains can agree, Destruction ejects the villains from his ship, sending them falling towards the prison below. Each villain agrees and Destruction makes sure they lands safely and that their nullifier collars are disabled.


V'sori Prisoner Control Mech

The villains are immediately confronted by two V'sori Mechs. Dungeon Master is knocked out by their stun-blasts, while Bloodfiend get's struck by lightning as he tries to swat a mech using an uprooted metal walkway. But Tesla is able to destroy one by flying straight through it. And John Q. Public finishes the last one with his laser gun.

SCENE 2: Inside the Prison


V'sori Drones

The villains assault the prison and have to fight through many V'sori Drones to get to the cells. Not only do they free Mindjack, but Bloodfiend takes a liking to a Hispanic woman and grabs her too.

Doctor Destruction's craft meets them out on the landing pad and they escape.

SCENE 3: Doctor Destruction's Proposition

Back onboard, Doctor Destruction tells them that they did well and asks them if they would join his resistance movement. The villains agree to form an Omega Cell and they are introduced to their main contact, a villain known as the Rat.


The Rat

The Rat leads to a headquarters that has been set up for them. It is a crappy, but hidden lair in the sewers beneath no-man's-land in Southpoint. Rat gives them a bunch of homeless clothes to disguise themselves and then goes over their first mission.


Kimberly Scott, Star City Globe reporter

A Star City Globe reporter named Kimberly Scott has gone missing. She is an informant working for Doctor Destruction. He wants her found.

SCENE 4: The Fairy Queen

Dungeon Master slips away to get reinforcements. He uses the sewers to get to one of the secret entrances to Arcadia. There is met by two Fae Knights who bring him to Queen Maeve.


Queen Maeve, the Fairy Queen

Queen Maeve tells Dungeon Master that the time has come for her to break the magic wards that keep her and her armies from entering the Mortal Realm. She tells him to find and bring to her the cards taken from Lady Tarot. She also warns him that the Seelie have sent someone to Earth to kill him. The Dungeon Master then takes a group of goblins back with him to Earth.

SCENE 5: The Turtle


The Turtle

Meanwhile, back in their lair, the villains are visited by the Turtle, who is surprised to see them. He explains that this used to be his old lair, but they can have it if they want it. Bloodfiend snatches the groceries he's carrying as he explains to them that the Tyranny League is recruiting supervillains for their own resistance movement. He tells them when and where the meeting is. But the Ghoul loses patience and kills the Turtle with his axe.

SCENE 6: No Man's Land

The villains leave the sewers and begin making their way north through gang territories. They are met by Baron Samedi, who tells them its time to repay him the favors they owe him. He wants them to bring him the cards they stole from Lady Tarot when they killed her. The villains are unpleasant with him, but he leaves still expecting them to do his bidding.

SCENE 7: Wrecking Crew Territory

The villain's enter the territory of the Wrecking Crew gang and are confronted by some gang members. But the villains humiliate the gang bangers and take all of their guns and send them running.


Sonic


Megastar

The villains then walk leisurely through the rest of Wrecking Crew territory. The gang leadership, having heard of what happened, rushes to confront the villains. The gang bangers are lead by two superhumans, Sonic, a rapper with sonic powers and Megastar. A fight breaks out and the villains quickly realize that a kid in the backseat of a convertible is controlling Megastar. Tesla smashes the kid's controller and Megastar vanishes. They kill Sonic and the other gang bangers. The villains take a liking to the kid controlling Megastar and bring him along with them.

Grendel catches up with the heroes here.

SCENE 8: Freakshow Territory

The villains have stolen a car and now drive north into Freakshow territory. Bloodfiend immediately pisses off a group of Freakshows, but the villains drive away before a full fight breaks out.

Next they come across some sort of black market deal going down from the back of a van between some Freakshow members and some guys in black suits. Bloodfiend asks them where he can buy drugs and then refer him to a guy named Yolo down the block.

While they talk to Yolo about the drug scene, they also learn that the Cyber-Mob was taking down easily by the V'sori. The Freakshow are posthumanist punks who want to follow in their footsteps.

Tesla goes back to the black market deal and sees that the Freakshows are buying food and electronic parts. A freakshow tells her to screw off, but she reveals who she is, scaring all of them. She makes one of the dudes in black suits give her his clothes and shades and then leaves them.

Meanwhile, Yolo has convinced the villains not to go fight his Freakshow customers and they decide to continue north to Downtown to search for Kimberly Scott.

SCENE 9: V'sori Raid

The villains ditch their car a few blocks away from the V'sori checkpoints and sneak into Downtown using the sewers.

They hire two cabs and head towards Kimberly Scott's apartment. However, on the way there, they witness a V'sori raid on a four story brownstone. The building is surrounded by drones, special operations police, and one Fin overseer.

Grendel hacks their communications and learns that they've traced an anti-V'sori blogger back to this building. Instead of troubling to find him, the aliens are arresting everyone in the building.

Grendel, Bloodfiend, and Dungeon Master decide that they want to help these people and get out of their taxi. Tesla, John Q. Public, and Ghoul decide they want to stick to their mission and they continue on.

Bloodfiend and Dungeon Master attack the drones and cops surrounding the building, while Grendel sneaks invisibly up the fire escape. Grendel manages to free two families, before discovering the blogger, a young Asian girl. He escapes with her, while Dungeon Master and Bloodfiend continue the fight. Dungeon Master and Bloodfiend take out the Fin and slash open one van full of captives. But reinforcements arrive in the form of the Power Corps division of the Spec Ops.


The Power Corps

Dungeon Master is eventually shot down in the street and captured by Power Corps Operative Two as he attempts to flee. Bloodfiend takes out Power Corps One and flees into the streets, pursued by a V'sori Manta fighter ship. After a chase that lasts many blocks, Bloodfiend avoids several fusion missiles and escapes.

SCENE 10: Kimberly Scott's Apartment

Ghoul, John Q. Public, and Tesla (with Megastar in tow) investigate Kimberly Scott's apartment. When they get there, they find her apartment filled with what appears to be mutated homeless people ransacking the apartment. One tries to escape out of the window with a laptop, but the heroes are able to take them all out. A search of the laptop reveals that Scott had been assigned to write a story on how the homeless situation had improved since the V'sori "liberation." In reality, she was looking into why many homeless were disappearing.

Her notes also indicated that she had been meeting a homeless man, Carlos Ocana, at her local Starbucks and getting information out of him. There were also emails to a Jim Mason, owner of a lighting fixture wholesaler, asking about the activities going on at an UberCorp facility across the street from his establishment. The final email from him was dated two days ago, where he offered to let Scott stay over night in his business to perform surveillance on the UberCorp compound.

SCENE 11: Meeting back in the lair

The villains regroup back in their lair in the sewers. They discuss staging a rescue of Dungeon Master, but then they decide its not worth it.

SESSION 4 RECAP

SCENE 1: Back in the Sewer Lair

The villains meet back in their lair in the sewers of Southpoint. They bring Megastar and the rescued blogger with them.

Rat enters with two new team members: Elder-Priest and Siren. Rat activates a holo-emitter and the image of Doctor Destruction appears.

At first he chastises them for causing so much trouble on the news and for bringing the blogger back instead of the reporter Kimberly Scott. But in the end, Tesla convinces him that the blogger can help their cause. Doctor Destruction announces that he will be taking Megastar and the reporter elsewhere, but Tesla argues with him, wanting the reporter to stay under her care. As they argue, Bloodfiend, who has been gobbling down bags of superdyne, suddenly smashes the holo-emitter to pieces and bursts into flames!


The "new" Bloodfiend; transformed into a Troll by a drug from Faerie

Emerging from the flames, Bloodfiend has now been transformed into a new Troll-like form. He grabs Tesla and demands to know where "the cards" are. Someone says in his trailer. He casts Tesla aside and then leaps out of the sewers and into the city above, leaving a gaping hole in the roof of their lair.

Doctor Destruction contacts them via their comm-link to find out what happened, then orders the villains to proceed to their investigation of UberCorp in the hopes of finding Kimberly Scott. In the meantime, he will monitor Bloodfiend.

SCENE 2: On the Stealth Jet

Rat leads the villains (with Megastar and the blogger in tow) to Doctor Destructions awaiting Stealth Jet. One of his Destructors is there as pilot and he flies them towards Westpoint.

The villains learn that the Trolls and the Freakshow have gone to war over the Wrecking Crew territory. But the villains don't really care.

SCENE 3: The Uber-Corp Facility.

At the Uber-Corp facility, the Elder-Priest uses remote-viewing to see inside an approaching 18-wheeler. Inside, he sees that mutated alien-hybrid homeless people have kidnapped about twenty more homeless people. The truck pulls into the facility warehouse and they begin to unload them.

The villains attack, destroying all of the homeless mutates (and the majority of the homeless victims as well) After the fight, the villains are approached by a clearly mind-controlled Uber-Corp worker. But Siren is able to reach into the mind and take control of the mastermind, a half-human/half-V'sori named Davros.

In an alien lab beneath the facility, Davros has been experimenting on homeless people, splicing their DNA with alien DNA. His hopes were to create a servitor race on par with the Fins, so that the V'sori would respect him more.

The villains free Kimberly Scott from one of these tubes and then dismantle the equipment. Grendel meets them here at this time.

Afterwards, the villains take Kimberly Scott and Davros with them back to the Stealth Jet.

SCENE 4: In the Stealth Jet

Back on the Stealth Jet, Doctor Destruction reveals that he has been tracking Bloodfiend. After leaping to the US East Coast, Bloodfiend returned to Star City. Specifically the Convention Center in Freakshow territory, damaging four city blocks. Doctor Destruction orders the villains to investigate the Convention Center and try to determine what he was looking for, ie. what cards?

On the way, the villains see a press conference giving by V'sori Governor Warlord Grypon in which he announces the creation of a new superhero team, known as the Honor Guard.

"These bloodthirsty villains have no care for the lives of Star City's citizens. Nor do they care for the safety and stability that the V'sori Empire is working to create for the human race. Yesterday's attacks show that these villains are a danger to everyone in Star City, V'sori and human alike. Therefore, in order to keep you safe, and to rid the world of these... super-villains, the V'sori is establishing a new level of protection for you, our subjects. The Honor Guard.'

"The Honor Guard are humans, just like you, who recognize that law and order and obedience to the V'sori Empire are key to a prosperous future. Ladies and gentlemen of Earth, may I present to your new super-heroes! They will not rest until each and every super-villain is brought to justice. They will not rest until each and every one of you... is safe."

Roswell recognizes a V'sori standing next to Grypon as one of the people present at his wife's autopsy. No doubt a V'sori advanced scout posing as an Atlantean.

SCENE 5: The Convention Center

Siren borrows a sniper rifle from Doctor Destruction's stealth jet and takes out the two surveillance drones hovering over the Freakshow territory.

Then the villains enter the Convention Center, following Bloodfiend's footsteps. Grendel grabs some components from the fallen drones.

Just as the villains, begin to investigate, they are attacked by Nancy Gardner, the wife of Captain Thunder. Nancy is accompanied by two other electricity-powered heroes.

Nancy concentrates on Tesla, demanding to know where her son Bolt is.

The rest of the villains are able to take out Fusion Reacta and Surge quickly. Seeing the odds are against them, Nancy mutters a word and the three of them vanish away in bolt's of lightning.

SCENE 6: The Ruins of the Cyber-Bar

In the ruins of the Cyber-Bar, the villains discover a small child, who claims to have been brought down here by Bloodfiend. But when Tesla grabs her, she realizes that she is not human.

They are then attacked by the Cyber-Tribe, wives and loved ones of the Cyber-Mob, whose bodies are in a suspended state because of disease or coma. Their leader Motherboard, a technomage, has created either robotic or hard-light construct bodies for her new family. But they remain hidden for fear that others would harm them.

After the villains win the fight with them, they decide to spare them and use them as a resource.

The villains get the Motherboard to hack into V'sori networks to try to find out what happened to the cards they took from Lady Tarot. Motherboard learns that the Cyber-Mob were hired by a V'sori advanced scout, posing as a Atlantean, to take out Foreshadow and Lady Tarot. In turn, the Cyber-Mob hired the players. The villains' suspicions are confirmed: they helped the V'sori take over the Earth.

Secretly, Grendel checks in with Rook and gives her a status update. Rook says she knows where the Tarot cards ended up. Alpha-Force raided the Cyber-Mob meeting with the V'sori agent and then gave the Tarot Cards to the super-sorcerer Adrian Eldritch for safekeeping.

Roswell telepathically asks Motherboard to find out information about the V'sori he saw at Warlord Grypon's side. She discovers that his name is Sy Lar and that has been put in charge of a special science division charged with the task of finding out what is unique about Star City.

Tesla uses this time to take the blogger to her secret penthouse apartment in Downtown and sets her up there.

Elder-Priest does some reading and refreshes his knowledge on possible elder god holy sites nearby. He comes up with some clues that lead to Sub-Terra.

SCENE 7: The Mall

The villains report in to Doctor Destruction. He orders them to rendezvous with him at an abandoned mall in the north Docks district. The Tyranny League have set up a meeting with him and are sending an emissary to meet him. Doctor Destruction wants the players to be his escort.

At the mall, Tyranny League member Stingray arrives, with some underlings in tow. The players reunite with the Exit, who is apparently now working for Stingray.

Stingray tells Doctor Destruction that the Tyranny League would rather work with him, than have to fight him. They plan to recruit every super-villain they can and organize a Tyranny Syndicate. Once they have driven the aliens off of the planet, they will then divide up the Earth into equal territories, with Doctor Destruction getting his fair share. Stingray adds that Atlantis is off the table, because he wants it. Siren steps forward and objects. Stingray recognizes her as the daughter of his worst enemy, King Meros of Atlantis. He backtracks about Atlantis and continues to negotiate with Doctor Destruction.

But Doctor Destruction proclaims that he is NO ONE's equal and attacks Stingray, ordering the players to attack Stingray's underling's. As the fight between Doctor Destruction and Stingray becomes an aerial battle above the mall, the players disobey his orders.

Siren sends her pheromones out to calm all of the underlings, but it does not affect Perception, Fade, and the Human Tank. Instead of fighting, the players begin to negotiate, trying to decide what the best course of action would be, to join the Tyranny League, to support Doctor Destruction, or some other course of action.

The Human Tank is uncooperative and they take him down. Saberclaw even helps.

When Doctor Destruction returns with the unconscious Stingray, the players decide to support him. Fade and Perception disappear. But the remaining underlings are recruited by Doctor Destruction as a new Omega Cell.

SCENE 8: At the new Warehouse Lair

Doctor Destruction flies the players to their new lair, a crappy abandoned warehouse in the Docks district.

He informs them that their next mission will take them into Sub-Terra to locate and bring back a power source that he needs for his plans. He also tells the players that in the future, they will also be trying to track down the Tarot Cards before Bloodfiend can get his hands on them. And also, they will need to find Nancy Gardner and find out how she obtained her new powers.

SESSION 5 RECAP

SCENE 1: Elevated Train Rescue

The game begins as the villains stage a daring rescue on an elevated train. They fight off several drones and a Fin commander and rescue a meta-human called Quantum Wrap.

SCENE 2: The Warehouse Base

Doctor Destruction gives the villains a few days to clean up their base and take care of their own business. But during that time, Elder-Priest casts a spell that projects an hour long sermon about the coming of the Elder Gods into nearly every human mind on the planet. The result is world-wide panic! Many feel the end of the world is near and that the V'sori were just the first chapter in the Earth's destruction. Perhaps their alien space gods will follow them and devour the planet.

Doctor Destruction is furious at Elder-Priest, explaining that the V'sori are telepaths. His hour long mind-broadcast might have compromised their location. The villains are forced to relocate back to the lower slums of Southpoint.

SCENE 3: Into the Sewers

After two days of rest, Doctor Destruction gives them a new mission, to travel into Sub-Terra and try to locate a power source that he needs. The villains take Quake and Exit and search for one of the collapsed tunnels into the Sub-Terran realm. Once they get there, they are met by Doctor Simian and his gorilla guerrillas.

He proposes that they work together. The villains don't agree and a fight breaks out. Doctor Simian teleports away, leaving his defeated gorillas behind.

SCENE 4: The Undergrounders

Quake opens a tunnel into Sub-Terra and the villains begin their exploration. After some hours, they encounter a Undergrounder patrol. Quantum Wrap disarms three of them with her super-speed and Siren shoots the other two in the head.


Two Undergrounders lead the villains to the Undergrounder camp in a ruined Lemurian city.

The villains force the surviving Undergrounders to lead them back to their camp. When they get near, one calls out a warning and the villains quickly kill him.

Once in the ruins, the villains are surrounded by 50 Undergrounders. They recognize the Undergrounder leader as Valerie Rodriguez, the woman Bloodfiend freed from Blackstone Prison. Siren douses the Undergrounders with pheromones and convinces them to guide them to the power source. Valerie Rodriguez and one other volunteer to be their guides and lead them deeper into Sub-Terra.

SCENE 5 - The Serpent Men

The villains rescue a group of Serpent Men trying to escape from a horde of Sub-Terrans. They discover that these Serpent Men are of the Brotherhood of the Yellow Sign and have traveled to meet Elder-Priest in response to his mind-broadcast. They join the party as the villains continue deeper.

SCENE 6 - The Lost City of the Sub-Terran


The Lost City of the Sub-Terran

The Undergrounders lead the villains to the entrance to the late Sub-Terran's city. They have Exit teleport them inside to bypass two giant robot guards. But inside they are soon confronted by a new Sub-Terran!


The Sub-Terran

Things go south pretty quickly and a fight breaks out. The Sub-Terran summons his two giant robot guards, as well as a colossal monster called the Sub-Kraken!

Siren mind-controls the Sub-Kraken to swallow the Sub-Terran, which ends the fight. Valerie Rodriguez, however is killed by one of the giant robots.

With the Sub-Terran's staff, the sub-terrans and other monsters view the villains as their masters. The villains locate the power source: a huge column that is a geothermal energy siphon.

They contact Doctor Destruction and he arrives to study the device. Siren visits the Undergrounders and convinces them to migrate down to the Sub-Terran city. The villains decide that this will be their new base.

SCENE 7 - Diamond's Rave

Next Doctor Destruction tasks the villains with finding out how Nancy Gardner acquired super-powers. They go to meet Diamond at her nightly rave to try to get the information.

Siren is able to find out from Diamond that Nancy Gardner was asking around about the whereabouts of super-MMA fighter named Goldilocks. In return, Siren tells Diamond about the Cyber-Tribe.

Meanwhile, Ghoul is approached by a villain named Henry Mudd. Mudd claims that the Human Portal has been looking for them and he dials Portal up on his cell phone. Ghoul speaks to Portal, who says he's in trouble. He's being chased by Nancy Gardner and also his powers aren't working any more. He begs Ghoul to meet him at the Trinity Church Cemetery and Ghoul agrees.

SCENE 8 - The Trinity Church Cemetery

At the cemetery, the villains are ambushed by the don of the Driagano family and his thugs. The Human Portal was being used as bait and dies in the battle.

Despite wearing new high-tech powersuits, Driagano falls before the villains and they make sure to kill every last one of them.

SCENE 9 - The Circuit Maximus

Barely winded by their cemetery battle, the heroes visit the illegal super-human fighting arena called Circuit Maximus and call upon its owner, August Roman.

He agrees to tell them where Goldilocks is, in exchange for the Ghoul agreeing to fight the Hammer of Justice in an upcoming bout.

SCENE 10 - Goldilock's Apartment

The villains find Goldilocks in a run-down apartment in Eastpoint. She looks horrible. All of her hair has fallen out and she is clearly dying of some sickness.

She confesses that Nancy Gardner came to her, looking for a way to get super-powers. Goldilocks gave her her contact, a scientist named Voorheis. But once Goldilocks became sick and lost her powers, she investigated further and discovered that Voorheis was a front for the DNAscent project, funded by the one-man Illuminati known as the Labyrinth.

The Elder-Priest is able heal Goldilocks and the villains return to tell Doctor Destruction what they have learned.

SESSION 6 RECAP

SCENE 1: In the Lost City of the Sub-Terran

Doctor Destruction and Roswell study the Lemurian power source, while Elder-Priest and Quantum Wrap are sent away on a mission.


Liberty Prime

The players are introduced to Liberty Prime, a former patriotic hero who has become unhinged by the V'sori Invasion. Doctor Destruction has temporarily reassigned him to the player's Omega Cell to replace Elder Priest and Quantum Wrap.

Soon afterwards, the players are approached by Diego Luis, one of the Undergrounders. He tells them that the people are scared. That food is running low and that they need medicine. Siren assures him that they will get everything they need.

Before the players can get down to business, they are interrupted by another crises. Elder-Priest's Serpent Men followers have kidnapped five children and are planning to sacrifice them to the Unspeakable One. The players confront them, and after about two seconds of negotiation, they slaughter them and free the children.

The players begin to notice that the Sub-Terrans have become restless and unruly without a leader. Siren appoints one of the Sub-Terrans as the new leader and has it wear the Sub-Terran helmet. The Sub-Terrans become more manageable after this.

SCENE 2: In the Temple of the Power Source

Doctor Destruction assembles the players and tells them that the wife, daughter and granddaughter of former US President Wilson have been captured by the V'sori. Doctor Destruction needs all three of them rescued. Most importantly, the daughter Jana Wilson has been having a secret love affair with the villain known as the Sea-King (Siren's exiled uncle). Doctor Destruction believes that Jana Wilson knows the location of Sea-King's base. That information is crucial to Doctor Destruction's plan.

SCENE 3: The Rescue

The players assault a city police station in Pelham, Alabama where the first family is being held. They successfully rescue the first family, as well as capture a V'sori Warlord named Shavak.

On flight back to Star City, Julia Wilson condemns the players for allowing the V'sori Invasion to happen. The players reply by revealing that they know that the granddaughter Chloe is the Sea-King's child. Chloe seems shocked by this news.

SCENE 4: Back in the Lost City

The players deliver the First Family and the V'sori to Doctor Destruction. Destruction takes Jana Wilson away to interrogate her. Meanwhile, the Leader Sub-Terran approaches and warns the players that there are intruders in the Lost City.

The players are led to an old Lemurian estate where two minions of Baron Samedi await them, Papa Midnight and Voodoo Child. Papa Midnight gives the players a warning: bring the Tarot Cards to Baron Samedi of their own free will, or he will make them do it. But the conversation is cut short when Siren commands the Sub-Kraken to rip off the roof of the estate. The two voodoo sorcerers try to flee, but the Sub-Kraken quickly grabs them both and swallows them.

The players return to Doctor Destruction and learn that First Lady Julia Wilson has already told the V'sori where Sea-King's base is, in an attempt to make a deal to save her family. Doctor Destruction has learned that within the last few hours, the V'sori have taken control of the base and Sea-King was killed in the attack. Jana Wilson becomes hysterical and attacks her mother. Doctor Destruction has them all removed from his sight.

Despite the danger, he orders the players to assault Sea-King's base to try to acquire an Atlantean Teleportaion Array that he has there.

Tesla tries to sneak away with the First Family, wanting to bring them to her lair, but is stopped by the Destructors. She is brought alone before Doctor Destruction and he asks her why she defies him. She tells him that she doesn't trust him. In an attempt to gain Tesla's trust he reveals a portion of his plan to her. He plans to connect the Sea-King's teleportation device to the Lemurian power source. Then he is going to send the players to the ruins of Atlantis to retrieve a device that will summon an Atlantean army. When the time is right, he plans to have the Atlantean army attack the V'sori simultaneously with an army of Sub-Terran monsters. Reluctantly, Tesla agrees to continue to follow him, for now.

SCENE 5: The Sea-King's Island Base


The artificial island base of the Sea-King

The players are flown to the Bermuda Triangle in the stealthjet, where they find Sea-King's artificial island is guarded by 10 surveillance drones and four V'sori Manta fighters. But Grendel is able to hack into the surveillance drones to make them appear to malfunction. When the drones are recalled and a repair team is ordered, this allows the stealthjet to fly to the base undetected.

Once there, the players discover the Sea-King still alive and in negotiations with a V'sori warlord in the base observatory. Sea-King is flanked by his aquatic super-villain minions. Grendel eavesdrops and hears the Sea-King's demands. He wants to be governor of Atlantis and he wants Jana Wilson and Chloe Wilson delivered to him unharmed. The warlord says that the Overmind wants them executed, but he'll see what he can do.

At this point, the players attack. They fire upon the observatory with five blasts from stealthjet's laser cannons. Then Ghoul drops eight fusion grenades into the group. After the smoke clears, only the Sea-King is still standing. Liberty Prime leaps down to confront him, but the Sea-King mind-controls him. The Sea-King then flies up beside the stealthjet and begins fighting with Tesla. But the fight is cut short when Siren completely dominates her uncle's mind with her telepathy.

The mind-controlled Sea-King easily helps them acquire the equipment they need and then set the base for self-destruct

Once they get the Sea-King on the stealthjet, they put him in a nullifier collar.

SCENE 6 - Bad Dreams

On the flight back from the Bermuda Triangle, Ghoul, Grendel and Tesla all doze off and are visited by Baron Samedi in their dreams. He is angry. In an effort to sabotage their loyalty to Doctor Destruction, instead of him, the Baron tells them that they are fools. He tells them that the man they are serving is NOT Doctor Destruction. He knows this, because the Baron is the Master of the Dead and has seen Doctor Destruction's soul in the afterlife. He warns the players one final time, to get the Tarot cards for him. During the dream, Grendel reveals to Baron Samedi the location of the Tarot Cards.

SCENE 7 - Meeting with Doctor Destruction

Back in the Lost City, the players reveal everything about their dealings with Baron Samedi to Doctor Destruction They leave out Samedi's accusation that Doctor Destruction is an imposter.

Doctor Destruction says that he will come up with a plan to deal with Baron Samedi. For now, there is an emergency the players need to tend to. Doctor Destruction has lost contact with a new Omega cell and he wants the players to investigate. This new Omega cell consists of Cyclone, Megastar, Quake, Sabreclaw, Giant Girl and a new recruit named Shifter.

Before they leave, Grendel secretly calls Baron Samedi's minion Tombstone. He warns them that Doctor Destruction will be moving against them.

SCENE 8 - The Omega Cell Base

Exit teleports the players to Omega Cell base, where they find that the entire cell and Rat have been killed. Destroyed hyper-drones are scattered around the base. The heroes find one survivor, the new recruit named Shifter.


Shifter

Shifter describes how the cell was ambushed with new-improved hyper-drones. He tries to lead heroes to raid a V'sori ammunition dump, but the players learn he was the real killer. When Grendel insists on trying to hack into the memory of a dead hyper-drone, Shifter knows he'll be discovered and attacks.

After a fierce battle, the players take Shifter down and deliver him back to Doctor Destruction.

On the way, Grendel makes a call to the Rook asking for brainwashing resources, but Rook says there are none at the moment.

SCENE 9 - Back at the Lost City

Doctor Destruction is deeply upset by the death of his Omega Team and has to excuse himself.

The players see Chloe Wilson swimming in an aquarium, learning about her Atlantean powers.

Jana Wilson spends a lot of time outside of the Sea-King's cell.

After a few hours of rest, Doctor Destruction returns. He has discovered the location of Doctor Simian's base and wants the players to take him out.

SCENE 10 - The Star City Zoo


Doctor Simian

Exit teleports the players to the Congo Gorilla Forest exhibit in the Star City Zoo, where they are quickly greeted by Doctor Simian's Gorilla Guerillas. They invite the players to dine with Doctor Simian and lead them to his secret base. But once inside, Doctor Simian activates his De-Evolution Engine and the players begin transform into apes. Tesla is the first to be transformed and flees with Exit.

But the remainder of the players assault Doctor Simian's lair. Siren discovers the location of the De-Evolution Engine and destroys it, which reverts everyone except for Tesla back to human. Tesla returns and after a fierce battle, they beat down Doctor Simian, Tesla getting the final blow.


SCENE 11 - Back at the Lost City

Back in the Lost City, Doctor Destruction demands that Doctor Simian revert Tesla back to human form. Doctor Simian refuses, saying she is now perfection. But when Ghoul threatens to eat Doctor Simians legs, he gives in and transforms Tesla back to her human form.

SCENE 1: In the Lost City of the Sub-Terran

Telsa asks to speak with Doctor Destruction alone. They meet in the Temple of the Power Source. Tesla confronts Destruction and tells him that she knows that he is an impostor. After a long debate, Destruction reveals to her his plan. A coordinated attack against the V'sori by an army of Subterranean monsters, an army of Atlanteans, Monolith's earthquakes, and the Tyranny League. And Doctor Destruction, now an old man, died from cancer. With the two of them gone, Foreshadow took his place, thinking that villains would follow one of their own.
