MAGNETO Real Name: "Magnus" Affiliation: The Brotherhood of Mutants Powers: Master of Magnetism
The mutant known as Magneto has the ability to generate and control magnetic fields. He regards mutants as evolutionarily superior to humans and rejects the possibility of peaceful human-mutant coexistence; he aims to conquer the world to enable mutants (whom he refers to as "homo superior") to replace humans as the dominant species.
Recently, when Charles Xavier left Earth for the Shi'ar Empire, he asked Magneto to take his place as Headmaster of the Xavier School. He reluctantly accepted, trying to lead both the X-Men and the New Mutants. But with both teams missing, he has decided to abandon Xavier's vision and to pursue his own again.

Polaris when she first came to Muir Island Polaris after she joined Magneto's New Brotherhood POLARIS Real Name: Lorna Dane Affiliation: The Muir Island X-Men Powers: Formerly Magnetism; now Super-Strength, Size Alteration
A mutant, Polaris formerly could control magnetism, much like Magneto, whom she long suspected to be her biological father. She has also had a complicated long term relationship with the X-Man Havok, to whom she was engaged. Another aspect of her character are her recurrent struggles with mental health issues, including infrequent but severe bouts of mental distress during which she acts erratically or struggles to function.
Recently, Polaris has returned from the Savage Land where her powers were stolen by Zaladane. Now that her powers over magnetism are gone, she has begun manifesting new ones. She has not interacted much with the players, as she has been absorbed with her own problems.
When Magneto captured a Genoshan submarine, Polaris accompanied the Muir Island X-Men to confront him. The X-Men were able to convince Magneto to not start a nuclear war, but Polaris decided to leave the X-Men to go with Magneto.
Later, Polaris was with Magneto when he attacked the U.S. Congress in Washington D.C. Her appearance had changed and her powers appeared to be restored.

THE MISSING X-MEN
Storm Rogue Psylocke Colossus Havok Dazzler Longshot
While in Texas searching for Forge, the X-Men battled the Adversary and appeared to die saving Earth on live television.
The X-Men did indeed perish but Roma resurrected them , which resulted in them becoming undetectable to electronics. While improving public opinion on the heroism of mutants, their friends and family, including the New Mutants and X-Factor, believed them to be dead. The X-Men maintained this as a cover story to protect their family and friends from the retribution of super-villains, and relocated to the Australian Outback after defeating the Reavers, whose base they claimed. They also took in Madelyne Pryor to protect her after she was abandoned by Cyclops, and the Marauders began hunting her.
Soon, the X-Men were lured back to New York during the Inferno crisis. Madelyne Pryor was discovered to be a clone created by Mr. Sinister that a part of the Phoenix Force entered after committing suicide on the Moon. Pryor struck a deal with the demon N'Astirh to become the Goblin Queen out of anger at Cyclops. N'Astirh's intentions to sacrifice her child to allow demons to freely travel to Earth became apparent as his spells slowly converted New York City into a hellish nightmare. X-Men and X-Factor, after being pitted against one another, defeated the demon. Pryor was suicidal after learning of her origin, and killed herself in an attempt to bring Jean Grey with her. Jean survived, and absorbed the remaining Phoenix essence within Madelyne. This was the first time the X-Men were able to confirm that Jean Grey was alive.
After a battle with Nimrod, the X-Men returned to their base in the Outback only to be confronted by Daniel Pierce and his Reavers. But before the Reavers were able to move in, the X-Men vanished.
